I need yahoo messenger vioce and video call setup on my dell 3521

If you own a web camera or if your Dell computer comes with a built-in web camera, you can complete a video conference on your computer.
There are a variety of free chat programs that provide free video messaging such as Skype, Yahoo Messenger or Google Chat.
With these programs, all you will need to do a video conference is add the person you wish to conference with to your buddy list.

Download and install a messaging software program such as Skype, Yahoo or Google Chat if you do not already have one installed on your Dell computer.
No matter which messaging program you use, the video call or conferencing feature works the same.
Launch the messaging software on your Dell computer.
Click on your buddy list or contact list.

Click on the contact with whom you'd like to video conference.
If he isn't one of your contacts, you will need to add him to your messenger contact list by clicking on "New" and then "New Contact."

Click on the contact name and select "Video Call."
You will now have a video conference call on your Dell computer.

Use the conference feature present in yahoo messenger and in msn ...for voice call and all of you will participate on the voice call ..and for video ..use the invite to see your webcam feature ..and each of you invite the others..
I'm not sure if Skype has conference mode..but usually all instant messaging programs have ..The procedure is one of you invite to conference the others..for audio ..and for video each one invite teh other s This way all will see and hear the talking ..

I have msn on my macbook pro. i can instant message but cannot video conference, how do i do this ?

I do not believe msn has video conferencing for macs. You can get messenger for mac (the download) but it does not include video chatting. I am sure of this. However, Skype is great for mac videoconferencing. Gmail also has something to download for videoconferencing. http://www.google.com/chat/video

First of all make sure you have the webcam drivers installed on your pc.Next install the MSN messenger, login to your account and then click on Webcam icon under the display picture and then click send/show my webcam. After the person at the other end accepts it they will be able to see you.

You can also click on contact name (the email id of your friend on the list) with right button. Then select video and click on Start a Video Call.

Hello, Maybe you can help me. I chat with my fiancee using yahoo messenger and a webcam. the problem is that when I call her computer or she calls mine the call ends immediately with no connection. ...

1. try to have only one of you sending the conversation request and the other person answering to that request.. try first you initiating the conversation and the other person responding to that request if it doesn't work have the other person submitting the request to you and you try to respond to it.

2. reinstall the application.

3. try using msn messenger.

MiniCam Causing blue screen when trying to video conference in MSN messenger

Normal 0 Did you install the software with the camera connected to the computer? Disconnect the camera from the USB port and reinstall the software. When the program asks you to connect the camera, do so, and it should work. Hope this is of some help. Bud

Below is info for setting up Audio & Video to chat on line after you install , either Skype or a messenger program.

Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:
  1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
  4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.
B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:
  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud

No sound

When I video conference in MSN Messenger, I can't hear my friend and he can't hear me. Or I can hear them but they can't hear me. What's wrong? trnsp.gif Answer Test the Microphone in Sound Recorder

  1. Click "Start," > "Programs" ("All Programs" for Windows XP) > "Accessories" > "Entertainment" > "Sound Recorder."
  2. Click the Record button and speak into the microphone of the camera. You should see the green line move, indicating the application is picking up sound.
  3. Click the Stop button.
  4. Click the Play button. If there is no sound at playback, check to make sure the correct device is selected.
    1. Click "Edit," then "Audio Properties."
    2. Make sure Logitech is listed as the Preferred device for "Sound recording."
If the microphone does not work in Sound Recorder, click here for help in determining the problem with the mic.
While using MSN Messenger it is the messenger program, not the camera software, that negotiates the audio streams between two MSN Messenger Clients. Although we cannot directly support audio issues in MSN Messenger, the following steps have been known to resolve and improve audio issues in MSN Messenger. For further information, please consult the help documents associated with MSN Messenger.
Test Your Networking Router
You can also test to see if your router is causing audio issues by either physically bypassing your router and connecting directly to your cable/DSL modem or by setting up your computer as the DMZ (de-militarized zone). If you are a novice networking user, it is not recommended that you leave your computer in the DMZ state for extended period as that may leave your computer vulnerable to attack. However, you may briefly configure your computer as the DMZ to determine if your network settings are causing the audio issues. For DMZ setup instructions, please consult your router's documentation.
Enable Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) on both Windows XP and Your Router.
If either of the above steps resolves the no audio problem, try the following steps.
  1. Open Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. To open Add or Remove Programs, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  2. Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
  3. In the Components list, select the Networking Services check box, and then click Details.
  4. Make sure the Universal Plug and Play box is checked.
Notes: If you used a CD to set up Windows, you will be prompted to insert it into your computer.
If your router does not support UPnP or you still get no audio after enabling UPnP on both Windows XP and your router, you must manually open all UDP ports between 5004 and 65535. This is because the audio streams are sent dynamically using that range of ports. Without a dynamic way to open those ports like UPnP, there is no way for MSN Messenger to successfully negotiate the audio stream. Consult your router's documentation for instructions to manually open these required ports.
If you are still experiencing audio issues within MSN Messenger, and you have verified that the microphone is working in Sound Recorder, contact MSN Messenger Support.
