to remove the jug from the power head youll need a stihl tool, aka a torx driver.

Most Stihl machines use Torq 30 head screws

The 024 came with just one bar stud with nut and one bar screw that can be replaced with a second stud

Probably need to adjust the high and low speed settings on the carburetor.

Are you asking about the PVC carrying case? Isn't it possible to mount a couple of small hinges using countersunk screws from inside the case to lock washers and nuts outside the case. Use a file to remove any threads extending beyond the nuts so your leg can't get snagged. It might even be worth adding a couple of countersunk flat washers to the inside of the case. HTH
