HDMI problem on new SONY
I just bought the new SONY BRAVIA KDL-52W3000 and it has 3 HDMI "ports"....one on the side and two in back. I'm trying to connect a SONY DVD player. When I connect it to HDMI 2 on the side, it works just fine...both audio and video.
When I connect it to HDMI 1...I get VIDEO only on HDMI 3...black screen on HDMI 1 and NO AUDIO on both.
When I connect it to HDMI 3...I get VIDEO only on HDMI 1...black screen on HMDI 3 and NO AUDIO on both.
WOW! Am I missing something? I appreciate your help.

-SONY service eventually said to return the TV...there was a problem with the HDMI connection in the back.
New TV works great!

- Same issue with a Sony Bravia KLV40D300AThe HDMI 3 input is supposed to be able to work with an analogue sound input. However, you only get picture or sound, not both, depending on which input the TV 'sees' first.

- I just bought a KDL-40V3000. When I hook up the cable box via HDMI, I get video and no audio, no matter which port I use. If I use the component connections all works well. I'm trying to figure out if it is the TV, cable box (Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HDC) or both. I've replaced the HDMI cable and exchanged the TV.- rmroro
