Danby Dual Zone DWC2121BLS temp control does not work

Hi, we own a Danby DWC2121BLS dual zone cooler. The problem is that the temperature control/thermostat does not seem to work. The compressor seems to workbecause it looks like the unit is able to cool down but the actual temperature on each side randomly jumps up and down and does not stabilize. The temperature in each zone seems to vary from 44 deg to 60 deg on its own even though we have set the two zones to 52 deg and 57 deg respectively.
ANy help wuld be appreciated.

SOURCE: Three Temperature zones

Did you read the owners manual? It will be kind of hard to tell you because there are so many different settings for different areas.

Yes once you take out the solenoid valve the refrigerant will escape and you need to recharge with new gas.You cannot prevent it from gas escaping.

SOURCE: i have a Danby wine

The max setting for temperature it can be set is Dry Wines: 9 to 14°C (48.2 to 57.2°F).--------
Rose Wines: 10°C (50°F).---------
Red Wines: 13 to 14°C (55.4 to 57.2°F).-------
Sparkling Wines: 9°C (48.2°F).------
-------- Actually the temperature will get set to 32 if you change the setting. But in that case you can only store beer and no wine bottles, in that very low 32 degree temperature the wine bottles will be ruined.-------- -------- Actually its internal temp setting is made for wine temperature only.So it will automatically revert to its internal cabinet temperature setting.--------- The temperature will get set to 32 but automatically after few hours revert to its internal unit settings which is for fine.So you will have to again n again check, if the temp setting is reverted to wine storage setting then again set it to 32.Then you can store beer.------ This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Danby DWC2121BLS dual commpartment wine cooler is cooling normally but after 2 days aprox the temperature increase and beeping and flashing hi

If evaporator starts to freeze up the ice accumulated serves as an insulator and the temps go up. If you turn it off and let ice buildup melt the unit will work fine again until it refreezes.

Check if unit has a device to prevent ice build up. If so, it is not working. If warm moist air is entering the area of evaporator coil, that could also be causing the buildup.

If I want to store both red and white wines, what is the best way to store them?

I also had the same indecision and finally I've purchased a dual zone wine cooler. The dual zone wine cooler allowed me to maintain two distinct and separated temperature zones within the same cooler which was exactly what is was looking for, and I think this is the optimal solution for you as well.

Dual zone wine coolers have two temperature controls and the storage space is divided into two chambers and each chamber has its own temperature.

Where can I find a wine cooler that has 2 or more different temperatures zones?

there is a wide variety of dual zone wine cooler and theirprices range from around $300 up to $3000 and even more, depends on their and manufacturer. I recommend taking a slightly bigger wine cooler thanintended since once you have your wine cooler you start getting more and morewines and you'll end up with no room...just google dual zone wine coolers

Danby dual zone wine fridge.....temperature is fine...but it never shuts off.....ever?!

I would be careful using it. Chances are that it does not have enough freeon in it, and that will make it run all the time, it could catch on fire from the over heating of the motor.
