Hello kuliohatzi!

You scan your mp3 player before removing it. It maybe the viruses that make it hard to be removed from the system. That's what I often do. Then I keep on refreshing the drive. Of course, be sure also when you click remove the device safely, all its applications are closed.

How can I delete songs from my Samsung YP-U3 MP3 Player?

  • 1 Turn on your computer. Connect your Samsung MP2 Player to your PC via the USB cord. Power on your Samsung MP3 Player.

  • 2 Wait for the popup screen and select "Open Folder to View Files." If no screen appears, navigate to my computer and double-click the Samsung player.
  • 3 Select the MP3 files you no longer want on your player by highlighting them with the mouse.
  • 4 Right-click and select "Delete."
  • 5 Close the folder and safely remove the MP3 player by using the "Safely Remove Hardware" feature in the system tray.

Samsung yp s3 doesnt work on xp

I have Windows XP and Media Player 10.

I had same problem with Samsung media studio not recognizing MP3 player. Here is how I fixed it. With the MP3 plugged in, I had to go into System/ Hardware/Device Manager and find the S3 driver under "Windows portable Media" and uninstall it. Then unplug and replug the S3 into the usb so that driver gets reinstalled.

Then I decided windows media player and samsung media studio are unnecessary for transferring music files to MP3 player.

Instead I go into Portable Media Devices from the control panel and just treat the MP3 player like a usb device. I copy folders of music and songs into the Music folder on the MP3. For me this is way easier than the Samsung music studio or Windows Media player.

    Samsung yp-s3 won't install hardware

Unlike my other MP3 player, the S3 by default is not recognized as a stanrdard USB device. The S3 is an MTP device. MTP is Microsoft's protocol for communicating with the S3.
Window's Media Player 10 or higher will recognize the S3.
Vista will automatically recognize the S3 as well.

There is a firmware upgrade you can try to make the S3 be seen as standard USB device (UMS Mode).

    Unable to Safely Remove YP-K3J

the people that say to ignore the safely remove device - are mistaken.

all i can suggest is go to the manufacture of the computer and make sure all your device drivers are up to date.

and depending on your OS - windows update site or the linux / mac / other repositories to make sure all those are updated as well.
