Question about Whirlpool GR450 Electric Kitchen Range

Open Question

Whirlpool Gold Self Cleaning Convection Oven Model # GR450 LXXT0 with Accusimmer: Right-Front element gets hot but not Red Hot. Happens when first turning on element from room temp; never gets red hot. Other elements get red hot from the git-go. Is it a bad element or the control? How do you access either/both? Seems like a bad element should be go-no go. CRW Waldorf, Md.

The bake element (in over) will no longer get hot, should the element itself be replace or could it be something else? Range model RS675PXEQ0

It does sound like the bake element is probably the problem. Many ovens turn on the broil element with 120 volts to even out the heat in the oven or pulse the broil element. This may be why the oven is warm but not baking.

I have a Whirlpool Gold self-cleaning oven w/convection. Following a self-cleaning cycle the oven will not heat up. Is there a certain amount of down time that has to go by before it will function again...

The self-clean cycle has blown a fuse in the rear of the oven. That thermal fuse must be replaced. Go to www.appliancepartspros.com and enter your model number. Find the thermal fuse on the diagram and then you can orfer the fuse from them.

If you do not see your bake element get red hot during the clean cycle then the bake element is bad and needs to be replaced.

Slow to heat on convection mode, bottom element not get as hot as

Check to see that the convection element is heating. If not, ohm it out, either the element is bad or it is not getting power from the control.

I have a Whirlpool electric build in oven with self-cleaning feature. It is about 8 years old and we just used the self-cleaning feature for the first time last week. The oven was not that dirty, but...

Your thermal fuse or TOD mounted to the back of the oven went out during the self clean,it shuts off the power to the elements.
The oven must be removed from the wall to change this.
