This is normally a sign of a low charge or a bad battery. Remove the battery, make sure that the contacts are clean, then reinsert and charge it. If this does not work you will likely need to replace the battery. eBay is a good source for reasonably-priced batteries, but yours may or may not be covered under your warranty/service agreement.

My tmobile dash freezes every time i try to start.

Turn the handheld off, hold the two soft keys (the dashes to the left and right of the phone buttons) hold the power button for 1-2 seconds and then release the soft keys. It should prompt you to clear storage. The “send” button is considered as the green phone button.

How to Hard Reset a T-Mobile Dash with operating system: 1. Select Start
2. Select Accessories
3. Clear Storage
4. Type in 1234
5. Select Yes

Tmobile dash

Sound like a battery problem. I had the same thing happening to my dash. It was shutting off every 10 minutes..just out of the blue. I went in to a T-mobile retail store. They gave me a new battery and my problem was solved. Give it a try.

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY DASH

Try the usual, take the battery off and reset the phone using the button underneath where the battery was, put the battery back in place and then try to start your phone. If your still having the same problem then return to your service provider and have your phone either reprogrammed or possibly sent in for repair. hope this helps! :)

Resetting my tmobile dash?

turn off phone, press and hold the 2 top soft buttons under the screen (not the larger ones with the phones on them). Press and release the power button while still holding the other 2. Wait a few seconds, when the screen changes you can release the 2 buttons. After a few minutes it will ask you to push the call button to reset. Make sure you have your contacts on the sim card, because all personal settings are erased.

Dash stuck on opening TMobile screen

The Windows Mobile installation may be corrupted.
The only way to fix that problem is by re-installing the windows software on the phone.
You can get the software for the T-mobile dash at the following link: http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
Be warned that if you use this method most of the data on the phone will be lost, like text messages and etc. Your contacts should be fine as the are stored on the SIM Card and if you have been syncing your contacts with your PC then they should get loaded when you do the up

T-mobile dash

I tried using a the google mail java app on my tmobile dash. It froze up on me, and when i turned it back on it just stays at the "tmobile" splash screen. I have tried using the soft key and power button reset but it doesnt work. What's weird is that it wont power down unless I take the battery out. It powers on, shows the tmobile splash screen, then freezes. Is there any other way to reset it or is it totally bricked? I bought it new off craiglslist so tmobile wont replace it for me cause I'm using it unlocked on cingular.

Ok bro I know I am a bit too late to help you with this problem but someone else may benefit from these directions. I see most places online only have half advice about this very common problem with T-mobile Dash.

This is what you need to do, you have to do a hard reset exactly like "reviel" mention. Also like he said timing is essential but the trick is that you need to show some patience through the process.

Note: Please read the directions completely before doing anything for better results.

Step 1: Take your battery out and shut off your phone
Step 2: Press and hold the two soft key buttons.
Step 3: Press and hold the power button for exact two seconds, 1001, 1002 and release, but continue to hold the two soft key buttons.
Step 4: Within seconds a black screen with some text will come up asking you to confirm if you wanna delete everything; and right then you let go of your soft key buttons and press the green call button (also known as the "send key").
Step 5: You are done but not really, your job now is to find something else to do and leave your phone alone for at least 2 minutes. Eventually if you don't have a SIM in it, it will prompt you for it and you click the soft key to choose "OK"; also, it will ask you to confirm to restart and you click the soft key to chose "Done" for it.

Wait a minute for it boot up and overall it should do it.

T mobile dash

This happen to me more than once, the latest today (may 25 08)at 9pm. Tmobile will tell you how sorry they are and that's about it. I am on my second dash and second battery.
Try to hold both top keys (between call green and hung up red) while you are pressing on the shut off switch for 2 seconds. Whe it comes back to life, everything will have erased but supposedly, the phone will be like new.
I am collecting names and emails of people who are fed up with the Dash and Tmobile. Write to me [email protected]

Tmobile dash is getting me p'd off

Mine does the samething. I'm running 6.1 and have found the problem to be the system fails to read the sd card on boot. When I reset my memory I don't put the sd card in until the system has booted back to the start screen. Works fine everytime.

How do you fix a frozen dash

It's actually a pretty easy fix, but it may take a few tries before you get it right. Start by taking out Sim card and battery, after a few seconds, but the battery back in. Then hold down the 2 softkeys (with the dash's on them) together and press down on the power button for about 2 seconds. Let the power button go but not the softkeys. You should get a black screen that will instruct you to hit the Green "Go" button to restore factory settings. Once you do this the phone will reset itself. It will restart very slowly, so be patient.
