Question about Saws
Connecting new replacement start switch (rated for 1.1kw motor bought from kaylo uk ltd) to AEG ac single phase motor(EB121D 60/70,1-mot1.1kw DM 067 875) driving a Mafell biberex L wood saw circa1983. Motor has live, neutral, earth + two other black wires. One of these is wired common to neutral in the old start switch, the other black wire?? How do i connect this to start switch - with live (solenoid cuts this line only), neutral, earth to the motor with the extra black wires?

Black and white are usually power. an ohmmeter will confirm. Brown are for capacitors. There is almost always a diagram on the motor someplace. Eric

I found a local small motor technician who was able to help with the wiring configuration for the 110/220: I had wanted the motor to run on 110V
