Question about Microsoft Zune JS8-00001 Digital Media Player

Muffled and/or distorted sound when playing videos

Most movies that i download and decide to put on my Zune get this muffled and distorted sound. But it doesn't happen to every video on the Zune. It also does the same thing to the same videos if i watch them from the collection. My thought is that something gets screwed up in the video converting process. Any thoughts anyone or any idea how to fix it?

Just try another converter.
You can use Video Download Studio
With it you can:
1: search videos and free music from popular online social media websites like YouTube, Dailymotion, and many others.
2: download music and videos that your are searching for
3: convert these videos/ audios to any format as you like.

Hi, When I play video tapes on the VCR the sound is very muffled. You can't hear it. The DVD is fine though, please help.

Hello,

If the sound quality seems to be muffled and the DVD seems to be working perfectly fine, there still is a problem somewhere that is why it is giving the muffled sound.

All you need to do is to check the RF prong and try to adjust it at the back of the DVD to see if its sound quality improves, if not, you will have to change the prong completely.

After changing it, the sound quality will be as perfect as it is supposed to be.

Take care and good luck

I have a SAmsung HTZ310R home cimema system and recently been experiencing audio drop out. I stream movies from my PS3, and play BD's, watch DVD's. Havent had any issues until recently, when sound started...

Sounds like a couple of coincidental but unrelated symptoms.

Optical cables need precise seating and no tight bends.

Muffled, channel-specific sound is usually on the analog end. Speaker connections maybe.

The mic play back sounds deep and muffled , i was online chat and when i set up the mic volume, it played back deep and muffled like on the movie silence of the lamb.

Its set too loud and the mic is way to close to your mouth. try seeting the boom mic about 2inches from your mouth!
It's a matter of experimenting with mic placement to get the best results. (If it'sd not a new unit, make sure that the microphone holes underneath the windsock aren't blocked up with debris!)

Good Luck

Suddenly, my outdoor speakers sound kind of "muffled"

If these speakers are two or three way speakers, it is possible that the tweeter(s) are blown in them.
Try and remove cover to check.
If the sound is not distorting, but just flat and muddy its the tweeters.
Put the other ones on this channel, to make sure it is not the amp.

Laptop Sound Problem - Muffled!

The DVD players in laptops are asked to do alot. First I would try is that movie on another DVD player - wtch closely to see or here any abnormalities in the the same location. Your DVD laptop player may very well be bad. Better to get it checked out under warranty. When you take it or send it make sure you tell the tech where exactly the movie goes muffled and if you can send or give the movie to the tech.
