What to do after resetting router

I have a Netgear WGR614 router. I lost the password, so I couldn't gain access; so I reset the router.

Now I can't get the router to work with the laptop. What is my next step?

You need to connect to the router via an RJ45 cable, then type 192.168.0.1 in your web browser, then type admin as usename, and password as password to get into settings.

Lost password and need to reset new password. netgear wireless - G router WGR614.

If you cannot log into your router because you have forgotten the router password or your network has been hijacked, please refer to "Lost or forgotten password for router or other device" below.
1.Connect your computer to the router with an Ethernet cable .2.Log in to your NETGEAR router by browsing to http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com. Enter the username (admin) and password. By default, the password is password or 1234 unless it has already been changed.3.From the left-hand navigation menu of the Router Manager, select Set Up > Wireless Settings.From the center screen, select your encryption type from under the Security Options heading.
If the wireless network passphrase is visible, review it and use it to log devices onto your network.If it is not visible, you can change your wireless passphrase;
If you cannot log into your router:
Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings.
NOTE: Restoring factory defaults on a device will erase any customizations you have made. You will lose any configurations saved to the device!
To reset the password /router follow the steps below:
Press the reset button on the back until the test light blinks. This takes about 10 seconds. (To avoid accidental resets, the small button is recessed. Use a pen or paperclip to access it.)Release the button.Wait for the router to reboot.Log in with the default password.If the router configuration was not cleared, try these additional steps AFTER the router has finished rebooting.
Unplug the router's power.Press and hold the reset button. While the button is held down, reconnect router's power.Continue to hold the reset button for 20 seconds after reconnecting the power.Wait for the router to reboot.Log in with the default password.

I JUST MOVED AND NEED HELP HOW TO RESET MY NETGEAR WGR614V9 WIRELESS ROUTER. WHAT DO I DO TO RESET MY PASSWORD TOO I THINK. thank you

Turn the router over and check the defaults on the bottom of the router. try the default admin and password to see if you can gain access to the router. Most people use the defaults so this might be a good way of gaining access. Otherwise there is usually a reset switch on the back or front of the router. You wil need a paper-clip[ to reset the switch. then you can use the defaults to gain access and reconfigure the router.
