    yep tats correct,,u can try the above steps and if it still doesnt work,,then try to connect it to an external monitor,,and check

    Can you hear the hard drive spinning?

    Can you see a dim image when you look at the screen at a sharp angle?

    Are you getting just a blank screen when you turn on the laptop? Are the lights coming on? If so, try reseating your memory one stick at a time in each slot one at a time.

Replace the Discrete Video card. That's why your LCD didn't detect when you run the Diagnostic test. There 2 type of video cards available to Dell Inspiron 6400/E1505. Either you have a on-board video card or discrete video card. Mostly, the discrete video card is caused when you not getting video output to your LCD (completely dark as if it is off). Discrete video card is detachable and replaceable. Good Luck.

Error 4F means your printhead is RIP, mostly due to bad quality ink, the only one way to fx the printer is changing the printhead but... is that really worth it?

Check signal cable
This messsage is usually displayed when the Monitor is unable to detect any input signal this can be due to the faulty cables (VGA/HDMI). I suggest you to try to connect a different cable and check if the monitor works. If not then update your video drivers.

Picture Projection
The default to enable the external VGA is Fn+ F8, it toggles between LCD, LCD + External and External only.
You may need to wait up to 15 seconds for the switch to occur.
There also may be issues with the resolution of the projector and or detection if using some type of adapter in the connection.
Resolution of the projector is 800 x 600, so you may need to reduce the system resolution to that too.

Try updating video drivers to be sure, but once you go over 3 meters, the video signal can degrade, causing a loss in the PnP signal to your monitor. Try setting the resolution manually.

Samsung inputs are auto-detecting, meaning if nothing is plugged in you cannot get to that input. Double check you HDMI cable on both ends to make sure its plugged in. HDMI jacks are very weak and connections break very easily, don't wiggle excessively. I recommend using component video instead for a more reliable connection.
