Ok i posted a question in regard to a black box appearing on my screen. Ive been through the subtitle section its off i cant for the life of me find the section for cc. I looked in menu but no luck

Closed captioning (CC) usually is enabled/disabled as part of the initial set up routine. Once enabled, CC text is displayed whenever normal TV audio is turned off, e.g., by pressing the MUTE button on the remote.

Colors are not as per actual

Missing a color or a swirl of colors? it could be a Degaussing problem, you should hear a clunk when the set first comes on cold.

If colors also do not look right turn color all the way down and look at screen, do you have a good black and white picture?

For some reason anything I connect to the TV is only black and white. I tried both the Video connection on the side and in the rear of the TV. I know it's a color TV, so what could be wrong?

Tries another set of RCA component video cable to the tv cable out put holes. The RCA set of cable u are using now,the Yellow connection color wire that supported video, could be bad that why u not getting any colors video.

Our Jensen has no color. We have picture and sound, but in black and white. The display settings on the screen are in color. Anything I can do? The model is TS2750J. It's only 2 years old!

There are different types of color settings and systems - NTSC, PAL and SECAM. Are you sure the correct one is selected ? If yes then the problem is in the decoder and must be replaced since the chip cannot be fixed. This is a job for a pro.

My tv sceen has a stain that makes anything white look yellow.

The color image is comprised of three colors, Red, Green, and Blue.
All the other colors are mixtures of those colors. The yellow picture indicates that your set is lacking sufficient blue drive.

First of all check to make sure that the tint control is not misadjusted.
The next thing is dependent upon the age of your television. If it's an older set that yellow tint is a sign of an aging picture tube.
If it's a newer set, less than 5 years old, have it analyzed by a electronics technician that is familiar with televisions if he is skilled enough he will know right away if it's the picture tube or not.

RCA TV lost Color

It sounds like your grandson found the "monochrome" setting in the menu on your remote. It may be in the "picture settings", "set-up" or "advanced" setting.

Zenith television no color except when in the menue screens

The onscreen menu does not rely on the color circuit to produce a color menu.
The most common issues with that symptom are bad color crystal on the main board or a shorted transistor on the main board next to the video jungle IC

Black Mess

Most settings and configurations except the Parental Lock could be reverted to factory default by doing a full hard reset. This is done by simply unplugging the unit from the mains for a couple of hours (or overnight preferably). If done and the system/TV will do a reset, all your settings (color, brightness, program selection) will be back to normal (or factory default).

Most parental Locks works with a code or password. Unfortunately, often this requires the use of the original remote that came with the TV.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
