Question about Epson Stylus RX500 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printer not printing Epson Stylus RX500

PC showing printing; however print not printing.


Now has error light on.


I have misplaced my user guide.


Olease help.

    We have an Epson stylus CX4450 model C331A. Our ink was low so we replaced the ink and now our error light is on and will not print. This printer is less than one year old and we have misplaced our user manual. Please help!

What does the error in the status monitor report?

Switch on the printer, and under Printers And Faxes in windows right click on the RX and select properties

Click on Printing Preferences and then select the maintenance tab, select the Status Monitor and report what it says in the box in the middle.

Scanner error

Press the On button to turn off the Stylus Photo RX500. Unlock the transportation lock. Make sure that all packaging materials have been removed. Turn on your Stylus Photo RX500 again. If the error message still appears, call Epson so they can replace your printer.

Can't print from shared printer

Did you connect the printer directly to the laptop to install the drivers? If so, you need to change the port to the network location to //hostcomputer/printer. You should also have the same user name and password set on both machines and have the user rights assigned to the printer sharing.

Epson stylus rx500 prints too magenta-ie

Try replacing the magenta cartridge...
Does it also do this when you try to use it as a copier? If so,
try to clean the head.. If it only happens when you're printing from the computer, try to reinstall the driver

Photo-copied Blk & White pictures come out with a pink tinge instead of blk & white.

haven't come across this problem myself, but renew all the ink cartridges, using Epson genuine only and no refills

Epson Stylus RX500 not printing from computer

From the Printers & Faxes area delete the printer. Go to Epson's web site for your location and download the latest driver and status monitor. Install the components and try it all again.

Also check that in the status column the machine shows ready. Right click the printer and check that Use printer off line is not selected.

I used some less expensive generic ink cartridges on my RX500 and had a similar experience with the black. If you're already using the Epson brand, done the head cleaning, realignment and nozzel checks, I'm not much help. Try Epson's support at their web site.
