Question about Motorola Mobility KRZR K1 Cellular Phone
When I plug the charger in it doesn't show as charging. The charger works with another phone in the same outlet. I noticed the female mini usb on the phone wiggles around when the charger is plugged in. This leads me to believe that the port has come loose from it's connector.
Is this correct? If so can I get it repaired anywhere or is it "beyond economic repair?"
The charger socket is soldered directly to the main board - if it's just the solder joints that have cracked, then a decently equipped mobile phone repair place should be able to resolder it - if it's actually ripped the copper traces off the board, then it's not really practical to repair it.
Since I happened to have a K1 in bits, here is a photo of the connector - it's normally attached quite firmly to the main PCB.
