Menu>File Numbering (I think it's called ), set it to auto reset, should do the trick. Otherwise, format your card and set it to auto reset.

When i turn on my camera i get a e24 on the screen

In one of my canon manuals is says about E.. (see the little dots)

Camera malfunctioned. Turn off the power and turn on again, then re-shoot or play back. If the same message recurs frequentely, the camera may be damaged. Note down the error number [xx] and take the camera to a custumer support help desk. If this message happens immeadiately after you have taken a shot, the camera may not have shot the picture. Switch to play back mode and check whether the image was actually recorded.

Sorry if I can't help you more, but Canon does not give more information.

Any shot taken in daylight comes out completely white. Night shots are fine.

Please change the scene selection mode.. If the issue persists without direct sun light, the camera may be defective.. please reset the Camera by following steps from the manual.

My DMC-TZ3 always stores images in haphazard order, not the exact order in which they were taken. Why? And how can I make it store images in chronological order please?

This is from the manual: "File numbers are reset when new folders are created." "New folders are created in the following cases: 1. When pictures are taken to folders containing files numbered 999. 2. When using cards already containing the same folder number (including pictures taken other cameras, etc.) 3. When recording after performing a 'NO. RESET' (found in the setup menu).

I have a 10d digital camera. battery gos dead after shooting 15+

Try cleaning your battery terminals. You can use a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. If you are still having issues then you will need to get another battery as that battery is shot

When turned on it says PA-1 and will not take

sorry to hear about your problem.
What I would try first is a camera reset from the tools portion of your menu.
When this is complete go ahead and try all the functions of the camera again if you're still getting the PA -- one error code which indicates single shot I would assume that the main control motor for your mirror is probably failed. We've seen this failure and 40 D's and 50 D's but never in the 10. Please feel free to contact me directly once you've tried this if it doesn't work and I will be glad to discuss with you other options. Reach me at Dave@advancecamera.com. Good luck

I have a canon ds6031 eos 10d. When I turn the camera on the view screen does not show what your pointing at. Is this normal?

Yes, it is normal. This is a reasonably old DSLR, and it's designed for you to look through the viewfinder (it's more accurate anyway as it's looking through the lens). You'll find if you keep one hand under the lens and one hand on the shutter, it'll feel quite comfortable to look through the viewfinder.

You can still view photos you've taken after you've taken them though.

The remaining picture counter stays at 999

The maximum number of remaining shots that the display can show is 999.
If the memory card has space for more than 999 pictures, the number will stay at 999 till less than 999 remain and it will start counting down from there.

Canon 10D takes 30 seconds to shoot after sutter button depressed

You may have it set on shutter priority or the like with the time set to 30 seconds. Try set it to landscape, portrait etc, one of the auto modes, and it should clear up the problem.
