and ideas for me please
I am pretty sure you need to have an Optical cable running from Your PS3 to your sound system...if you have one...
So basically you will have a HDMI cable running from your PS3 into your TV, another HDMI cable running from your TV into your sound system, then an optical cable running from the PS3 to the Sound system. I sadly own a HDDVD sound system but the optical cable tells it to accept the Blu Ray content.....

Go to your audio settings and make sure they are not set on the <optical out> or the <hdmi out> setting, set them to transmit the signal via scart

PS3 is The amazing device by sony but it has some common problems like sound but no video problem etc.... Good news is that these all problems can be repaired with the help of DIY Guides, one such guide available at PS3 Repair Blog

I beleive this answers the question. It was posted on the review on CNET.
The other disadvantage of the PS3 compared with standalone Blu-ray players is the lack of multichannel analog outputs, which means you'll need to have an HDMI-capable receiver to take advantage of high-resolution audio. Using an Optical cable from receiver to PS3 will very high quality sound. 5:1

Hi Bobba13, I am attempting to help bu tI cannot bring up much with the Samsung Model number you gave. Can your check and post a comment with more model number information. The Model number you gave is closer to a DLP Television than a Plasma.
