Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
I have a Dell M1330 running Vista Home Premium pre installed. I want to do a clean install of it with the recovery discs I received with the laptop. I have never done anything like this. I am quite nervous about messing up because my laptop is my life! I do have partitions. My C drive is full. I don't even know how to specifiy which drive to download onto. Should I attempt this or is it too complex for a relative newbie? After that I want to dual boot Ubuntu. I am too ambitious??? Thanks, Marsha Lair
Well first thing. Did you backup all your files ? Emails, documents, music etc ?? If so then you can run the recovery disc and select the C: drive. This will install the OS and all the software that was shipped with your laptop when you first purchased it. However, all software that you download or installed will not be available and you will need to download and install that software again...Hope this helps...
