I have power to my air purifier, the light blinks, nothing else happens

Hi there! It sounds like the rear grille may not be on properly, this will prevent the air purifier from running. Try removing the rear grille and replacing it, making sure it is securely closed. Also, be sure the unit is sitting on a flat level surface as this too will prevent the unit from running. Hope this was helpful!

My ionic pro ca500 has the blue light on but also is making a intermittent sizzling sound, I have wiped the blades, the clean light is not on.

What does the blue light mean? I had 4 Ionic breeze air cleaners, ionizer wires are broken. I was thinking about buying the Ionic Pro cleaners, but have no input about how well they work.

It keeps making a static sound. and it lights up with the sound because there is a small shock that happens ever 10 seconds in the back above the filter

That happens when the electrostatic grid needs to be cleaned. There should be instruction for cleaning the electrostatic grid in the owner's manual.

Device appears to have no power. Power cord looks good, it was working the day before then suddenly stopped working... no lights indication of any power making it to the device.

This unit will not operate if it is plugged into a power strip - it must be plugged directly into the wall outlet. An extension cord may be used.

I have a F50E electronic filter. The light comes on, but there is no snapping sound when I push the test button. The cells and wires look ok. What could be the problem.

It's possible that the board is at fault. Triple check and make sure all the ionizing wires are in place on both cells and that the thin collector plates are not touching each other. Also, make sure the contact points are clean on both the cells and the cabinet.
The F50 is an obsolete EAC, so parts are becoming difficult to get. If the board is bad, I would recommend unplugging the unit and using a MERV 10 media filter in its place (Honeywell designed that EAC with the same cabinet as the media filter... all they did was add a power pack on top for the EAC. The media filter will slide directly in the cells place.) You will get better filtration with much less maintenance.

Sharper Image Ionic Breeze Gp Silent Air Purifier

Ionic Breeze machines are no longer being supported. Sharper Image recalled the product several months ago after it was proven by Consumer Reports and the EPA that the product wasn't cleaning the air and can be harmful to use. Sharper Image took legal action and lost.

The Consumer Product Safety Comission is going to make a decision on all ionizers by the end of the year. It's looking like all ionizers will no longer be sold in the U.S. regardless of who makes them.

Kenmore air purifier- model 85500

Power Off the unit then Press and HOLD the Off-Timer and Function buttons at the same time WHILE Powering the unit back On. The Replace Filter light will blink for 5 seconds than go out. Now you can release the the buttons.

Just to make sure everything is working fine power off and on the unit.

On a side note if you are a tight wad like me you may want to just smak the filter layers against the ground a few times to clean them and re-use them / make them last longer. When the replace fileter light comes on too often then it is time to replace the filter.

No worries ;o)
