The functions of an RCBO are: 1)Trip in the presence of over current
2) Trip in case of imbalance between the current in the live feed and the return.
To answer the question, will it trip if the transformer is disconnected? I would say that in the absence of any current at all(since it's not connected), the RCBO would not sense current or current differences since the circuit is dead. Therefore, it should not trip. I hope I understood your question properly. Let me know what you think.

How to wire a dewalt radial arm saw for dual voltage.

110 volt units have a different 3 pin plug. You will need to fit a standard Australian 240volt plug on the cord. Get a sparkie or someone competent to wire it and fit it. The black will be Neutral, the White, active and the green is earth. Make sure the DPDT switch is set to 240 otherwise you will burn it out. I will assume that you are in Australia and using the 110Volt through a step down transformer. You should be able to get an adaptor for the transformer to save having to swap 3 pin plugs every time you want to change voltage supplies.

Miller thunderbolt AC welder has no power, It worked last time I used it. All connections seem to be good whats next?

The mains switch can be bypassed temporarily for testing but it would be better to check the circuit with a multimeter or megger.

Most welders are fitted with a thermal breaker to cut the supply if the transformer becomes too hot and it is possible that device is faulty - follow the wiring and you should find it mounted in contact with the transformer.

Both air cooled and oil cooled welding transformers fitted with a thermal breaker are long lasting and reliable.

Spark from charging port

Were you using the right charger? Just because the plug fits doesn't necessarily mean the current is right. Normal charging voltage is about 5V, not nearly enough to cause a spark, so it doesn't sound good to me. If it's still under warranty (or even if it's not) this may need a trip to tech support

A power-outage left our Acer pd100 inoperative. When I tried plugging the projector into a power outlet once again, we lost power in the entire building. Is this a question only of purchasing a...

sounds like it, unplug the projector remove the lamp put the covers back afterwards and plug it in and switch on. If the electric in the building goes off without the lamp then your projector has a electrical fault that needs sorting. If the electric stays on then the lamp has blown causing a dead short causing fault conditions which will trip the main fuse if it is rcd or rcbo.

JVCAV-N2043TV,Horiontal Output Transistor burns out everytime if fix a new one

Hi There,

The Hor Output transistor is connected to the Line Output Transformer. This transfromer provides a lot of voltages around your TV set but includes the very high voltage to the Picture tube...

These transformers are specially tuned to resonate at a certain frequency,
The Hor output transistor needs to match this frequency....so if the wiring inside the transformer is shorted by "just a bit" the picture will be visible but the transistor is struggling to match the transformer impedance, from the mismatched tuning...so the transistor draws more current from the power supply.. runs hot then burns out...

Usually manufacturers provide a Trip circuit that detects that an overload on the power supply is occuring and cuts the power to the Line output stage ...this is usually detected by a clicking sound within the power supply its called hiccuping.

If some one has altered the correct setting on the power trip circuit then the next thing that happens is the Transistor goes Blooooey like in your case.....

So to save you a lot of money replacing the output transistor
please replace the output transfromer as well next time...

But please... please... re-check the power supply trip circuit to save you a lot more expense in the future....

Best Regards From YUBEUT
