I tried to follow the diagram for removing the door - Lifted the door with both hands and pushed closed, but it does not seem to be working. Are you sure that is the correct way to remove this model?

The door will need to be removed from the range and disassembled. Theinner and outer door halves are usually just screwed together and theglass held in place by a metal frame and more screws.

Glass continually shattering on combination neff oven

That's a huge gap.

You might ask their customer service people to authorize the replacement of the whole door or the glass and the inner door panel where the gap is.

If they won't help you, you could clean it thoroughly, then carefully caulk the gap with high temperature caulk.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

The handle on the door has broken at the bottom. It looks like an easy fix if I can just figure out how to get it apart without breaking it further.

To access the door handle mounting screws on MOST microwave ovens, you have to remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. You can use a small screwdriver to carefully pry the plastic up and work your way slowly around the perimiter of the glass. Most microwave ovens also have grooves in the panel that you can insert the screwdriver into. Use care not to pry against the glass. The glass is tempered and also has an RF shield that prevents harmful microwaves from potentially harming the consumer. If you break the glass, you will need to purchase a new door.

The door handle screws are located behind the inner panel. Simply remove the broken handle and install the new one. Re-insert the inner door panel carefully and gradually work your way around the perimeter of the door glass and make sure it snaps back into place.

This repair can be done with the door in place, or you can remove it for easier access. If you decide the remove the door, simply open it all the way and lift straight up at the hinges. The door will lift off of the hinge pins. Place on a hard flat surface with some towels under it for padding. This protects the door facing from scatches.

If you have any questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: Some doors have a small hinge pin that has to be removed in order to remove the door. If the model number you have this listed under is correct, I found a replacement door handle at repairclinic.com for about $25. Look for item #1381096.

Broken handle on Spacemaker microwave

The handle can be replaced without replacing the entire door, or oven. The part number is WB15X1309 and can be purchased at pcappliancerepair.com for about $45. Due to the age of your oven, I could only find it at a couple of web sites, and this was the cheapest price I could find for you.

Hi,

Please find the diagramatic presentation for the replacement or removal of the door.

Do not be worried about the model if its exactly not the same as the basic removal process is 99% similar.

Thank You
