Battery not charging

I just bought this about 1 month ago.  I attach to my computer while it is on and it says usb...Looks like it is charging.  When I take it off and try to use it says "low" and shuts off.  Done this over and over trying to fix.  What should I do?

Re: battery not charging

I'd suggest seeing what kind of battery your MP3 player takes and finding some rechargeable ones.

For the batteries [usually a two-four pack] and charger it'll cost about 20 bucks, but I've had my rechargeable batteries since about 6th grade.

I'm going on to be a senior next year.

so it's worth the money

Re: battery not charging

The batteries don't charge. You have to replace them when they get low. When you plug it into the computer, the battery isn't used, which is why it works then.

How to charge the Jensen MP3 player - Model smpg-v2bub

Ignore instructions that came with it - they don't work.

Here's how to charge - I discovered this with mine:
1. When computer is on and at windows screen, attach cable from computer to mp3player with mp3 turned player off. It will immediately show you a connect screen on the mp3 player.

2. pressed the left side middle button twice - this will turn it on and go into music like you're playing a song.

3. Now turn the mp3 player on by switching the button on the right side of the device to the on position. It will suddenly show you it's charging - the battery on the front of the mp3 player will have a signal pulsing through it.

4. It will turn off after one minute. It's literally half charged now. Strange I know. Repeat from step 1 and it will fully charged.

If it doesn't fully charge after it turns itself off after 1 minute the 2nd time, then repeat steps from 1, one more time, but this time when it turns itself off after a minute, still leave it connected to the computer for 10 mins even though it looks like it's off. Then disconnect it physically from computer, turn it on with the on button on the right side, press the left side middle button twice and look at the battery on the screen - it should be fully charged now.

Battery won't charge.

I just figured out the problem I had just like yours. I have three different sony MP3's and thought all the usb cables were the same. Well after changing out the usb cable my 438f started charging. I was using the cable from my s615f and the same is true if I use the 438 cable on the 615-full battery instantly. Also sony does not replace these batteries. If in warranty from purchase date, they will exchange with "like product" for $29, or repair yours for $77. Both prices include return shipping. http//

IPod Battery

You should try using a different USB cable and connecting to a different USB port and seeing if the problem persists. If it does, the problem's probably with the iPod's logic board.

Sansa c240 battery issue

Does it indicate that it is fully charged? If it does, I would return it or have it replaced. You have a 1 year warranty from SanDisk. SanDisk Technical Support 1-866-726-3475 If not, try using a different USB port on the computer, preferably one in the back. Best of Luck.
