Lights how do i change the light color on the side of the phone? i see no where does it have options to change display or lights?

How to turn off backlight on iphone 4


There is no separate "back light" setting like there used to be on some earlier phones.

In the Settings app of your iPhone, there is a section called "Display & Brightness". You can use that to make your phone's display brighter or dimmer, but as you have probably discovered, it dims or brightens both the foreground and the background elements together as one.

You can turn it all the way down, which is very dim and hard to see in normal indoor light conditions, but may be preferable in extreme low light conditions like in a nightclub setting, or in complete darkness.

Why isn't there a separate back light setting?
To fully answer this, I would probably have get into more than you ever wanted to know about displays.

First, there is really no background or foreground on today's smart phone displays. The foreground elements and background elements we see on the iPhone are really a graphic illusion created by lighting individual pixels with different colors. All of these pixels are on the same plane, so nothing is really behind or in front of anything else. It's just artistically drawn to look that way.

Brightness is simply an "intensity" setting applied uniformly across all of the underlying individual pixels within the display matrix, and has no relationship to color. For clarity, let's look at the difference between lightness in colors, versus display brightness:

COLOR LIGHTNESS is a matter of how much WHITE (all the RGB colors summed, for example) is present in a given color. This has nothing to do with display brightness.

DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS is a matter of how much LIGHT INTENSITY is applied uniformly across all pixels in the display matrix.

At zero display brightness, you would not see white any better than black, blue, green, red or any other color. You wouldn't see anything.

Why did you expect to be able to control the back light?

Prior to the smartphone era, the displays on early cell phones and pagers (and lots of other devices that had displays) had a lighted background that contrasted with dark foreground elements.

The background intensity was a separate setting on those devices, but that's because the background was the only thing that had intensity. The foreground elements were solid black LCD (liquid crystal display) segments that were used to form characters and very simple graphics and lines.

Everything we see on today's smartphone displays is dynamically drawn by lighting different pixels with different colors at different times. Individual pixels on a Retina display are nearly microscopic in size--they cannot be separately discerned by the eye.

Imagine a matrix of microscopic light bulbs, each of which can separately change to any of millions of colors and levels of brightness at any time, on command. Just imagine the sheer number and complexity of possible commands to control a Retina display!

Even if Apple wanted to provide a new feature that enabled us to separately control the perceived "back light", it would only be an illusion as well.

Such a feature would require some sort of complex algorithm to determine which pixels are involved in what you perceive as the "foreground" elements at any given time, so it could add intensity only to those pixels considered to be "background" at any given time.

Since "foreground" and "background" elements drastically change shape (and location) at any time, such a feature would be pretty daunting to implement.

You might be better off using a pure black graphic as your background image if your goal is to have more contrast to make the app icons stand out.

The following information provides an Overview of the Printer's available Scan Settings. 1. To enter the Scan mode, from the Printer's Main (Copy) Screen press the Menu button.
2. On the two-button selection screen, press the right-hand Scan/E-mail button. Note: If you press the lefthand "Copy" button by mistake you will be returned to the Main (Copy) Screen. You will then have to press the Menu button again to return to the two-button selection screen.
3. The Scan screen consists of three Tabs, with each Tab displaying a number of feature settings. From left to right, the three Tabs are labeled: Basic Scanning, Scan Options, and Image Quality/File Format.
4. When the Basic Scanning Tab is selected, three columns of settings are displayed. The first (left-hand) column of settings contains four "Output Color" selections, including: Auto, Full Color, Grayscale (256G), and Black. The second (center) column of settings displays four scan resolutions. The available selections include: 200 dpi, 300 dpi, 400 dpi, and 600 dpi. The third (right-hand) column of settings displays "2 Sided Original" selections including: 1 Sided, 2 Sided (H to H), 2 Sided (H to T), and More.... If you press More..., a screen displays with two setting selection buttons on the left, enabling you to select either 1 Sided or 2 Sided. Options are TIFF/JPEG, JPEG, DocuWorks, and PDF. - Press the Lighter/Darker/Contrast button to adjust scanned image density (lightness and darkness) and contrast. Use the supplied arrows to make the desired setting adjustments. - Press the Image Compression button to set the degree of data compression, used especially with JPEG scans. Options are High, Normal (default), and Low. - Press the Auto Exposure button to enable or disable this scanning feature with the ON or OFF buttons. You can change the backlight on a casio wristwatch by holding the Light button, but only if it has an LED light in the side of the screen such as yours does. There is Light Blue, Red, Pink, Blue, Green LEDs in the side of the screen and you can change between them. There is also an option that flashes between all the LEDs when you press the button.

change the display IC near the main board strip connector, there r two ICs the one on the right side is for mini display , re heat it if it doesn't work after changing the IC ;)

Many factors can affect the image quality of your pictures. If you are experiencing blurry images, please try adjusting the focus ring located around the lens.

This will allow you to focus the camera image on objects at different distances.

Also, make sure there is good lighting. Improving the lighting conditions can improve the image quality considerably.

Connection Issues:

If the image quality is poor while transmitting video over the Internet using video enabled programs such as MSN Messenger, Yahoo! or AOL Instant Messenger, your connection speed to the Internet directly affects the image quality of the transmitted video.

Corporate LAN, DSL/cable modem connections will result in the best image quality experience, while dial-up connections may result in choppy and overall poor quality because of the slower connection speed.

Even broadband connections such as DSL/cable modem may experience choppy video at times because of Internet traffic or slow upload speeds.

If the image appears clearly in the camera software, most likely your Internet connection may be responsible for the poor image quality in your video program.

Changing Display Adapter Settings:

If you are still experiencing a distorted, fuzzy or grainy image, you may need to change the settings for your display adapter.

For optimal image quality, please make sure the video display adapter is set to display at least 16-bit high color or higher.

To change the color palette please perform the following steps:
