Question about Brinkmann Charmglow 810-7400-S Propane Grill

1 Answer

The side burner does not look like the one in the direction booklet i have. The grill I have has a bar across the inside of the burner. I need directions to put the side burner together. The bar that I have across the burner has a oval hole in it so I can't figure out what screws down to it. Model 810-7450-S. The side burner is very loose and jiggly. Please help. Thx

I flavorizer bars are dirty and all stacked on top of each other. Do I need to replace or just scrape them? I have 5 of them and not sure where they are supposed to go? A picture would help.

Just scrape them clean with a brass bristle grill brush. The place the over each burner lengthwise from front to back. There will be an ledge just inside the grill head that they rest on. One ledge in the front, one in the back. That way, they rest about 2" or more above each burner. It's alright if the touch each other from side to side. That's about all there is to it.

I hope this helps you and Happy Grilling.

Are lava rocks used with charbroil 463731703? Can they be used with this bbq?

Since your grill uses a V - bar flame tamer over the burner, I wouldn't recommend using Lava Rocks. As there is no grate to set them on above the burner. Putting them directly over the V-bar flame tamer, won't allow the burner to heat evenly and you'll have hot and cold spots throughout the cooking surface.

Hope this answers you question.

My weber grill is not putting out enough heat--both burners ignite, but I can't turn them up to get a higher flame/higher temparature. The grill is about 5 years old. How can I clean the burners to get a...

Hello,

follow the below procedures on how to clean the burners for your grill:

Shut off the gas. It is very important that you turn off the gas valve to your BBQ before you can begin to clean it. This is found on the hose that attaches to your propane tank, simply turn the valve all the way to the right.
Escape any remaining gas. Next turn all the burner knobs to the highest setting and allow the remaining gas, if any, to escape. Make sure you have the grill hood in the open position before doing this.
Let the Grill vent for five minute: In order to ensure that the remaining propane has ventilated properly, leave your grill open and do not begin to clean it for at least five minutes.
Brush grill bars. Using your grill cleaning brush, firmly brush the surface of the grill bars in a forwards-backwards motion with the steel from the brush sweeping across the surface. Once you have brushed the surface flip each grill bar over and brush the other side.
Saturate with grill cleaner spray and repeat. Using your grill cleaner spray thoroughly saturate the surface of the grill bars and brush both sides. Set the grill bars aside after you finish so you can access the interior of the BBQ to clean it.
Remove burner plates and clean. All gas grills have metal plates which cover and protect the flame pilots during cooking. These will typically become covered with ash, and burnt grease and sauce over time. Simply remove them from the grill and brush them down. After you have brushed them once, saturate them with the cleaner spray and brush them down again. Set the plates aside so you can finish cleaning the rest of your grill.
Clean interior of grill. The plates will only catch so much, still sauce and grease will fall to the bottom of the grill and turn to ash. Using your grill brush, jar all of this ash free. Douse it in cleaner spray so it condenses and scoop it up with the paper towels.
Clean grease catch. Many newer gas grills will come with a grease catching plate. You can usually access these through the rear of the BBQ. They generally have a small metal handle and will easily slide out. Remove this grease catch, and brush and clean it thoroughly.
Clean exterior of grill. Using your grill cleaner spray, saturate the exterior of the grill and wipe it down with the paper towels. Repeat this process until the exterior is entirely clean.
Reassemble the grill. Now you can put all the pieces back together in your grill and turn the gas valve on again.
I hope the above helps to solve your problem.

Good luck.

I now have a 3 burner weber gas grill and am thinking of buying a 2 burner weber gas grill - how do you use indirect cooking on the 2 burner grill - will there be one burner that is turned off under the...

Well, I personally, wouldn't want to go from a 3-burner to a 2-burner because I think Weber designed the 3-burner grill to perfection, and as you know, all you have to do is turn off the middle burner.

At any rate, indirect is harder with the two-burner because of the placement of the burners. You can try to put some 1" thick ceramic bricks directly on the flavorizer bars in the middle, or if you are using a rotisserie, put a pan under your meat.

My Weber gas grill is less than a year old. The

gas regulator make sure all burners are off when you connect bottle... the units have a leak sensor and will stop the gas coming out because it thinks you have a leak when you connected the bottle. now try hooking up the bottle again with all the burners closed incl. the side burner and the infa red. It will work o.k. then

Weber Genesis Gold B Grill Problem

Could be partially clogged burner openings (jets).
Remove the cooking grates and the flavorizer bars. Obtain a BRASS brush (like used to clean white-wall tires) and brush the burner tubes from side to side and up and down along their entire length to remove all corrosion from the jets. Also the cross-over tube.
Before replacing the flavorizer bars and cooking grates, ignite all burner tubes and check to see the flames are all of about equal length and intensity.
If this isn't the problem, check the screens at the right-side ends of the burner tubes to be sure they're not clogged.
If the burner tubes are all clean and some don't ever ignite, the problem could be in the valves/manifold.

What you are expierencing is a restriction in either the line coming from the regulator or a bad regulator. Most likely I would lean towards the regulator.
