The chain oil pump must be worn. The pump is fitted behiend the clutch and chain drive.Remove this by turning clockwise.

Make sure the oil tank vent opening is not blocked with debris. When you take the bar off there is a shiny metal plate held by one screw that you need to remove to get to the oil pump. Under this plate you will find a small copper screen. This is the vent and when it gets plugged you get a vacuum in the tank and the oil will not flow. I used carb cleaner on mine and it fixed my oil problem.

How to adjust automatic oiler on 455 husqvarna

I'm sorry, but I'm not aware of any adjustments that can be made to the oiler. Just make sure the ports are clean so that the oiler doesn't get clogged and that the oil lines are all clear and you should be good.

Re-clean the engine case and loose parts. Start the engine with the bar removed--oil should ooze out of the side port where the bar fits to, but nowhere else. Clean the bar drive end oil passages--especially the two small channels that go out to the chain groove on both sides. If you seem to be pumping excess oil out, there should be an oil volume adjustment screw either in the back case or just underneath the case near the lower run of chain. Turn the screw CW to lessen the volume of oil. Hope this helps!

455 rancher chainsaw does not pump oil to the chain

If you look under the machine by the chain you'll see a flat head screw (next to the sprocket) which controls the bar and chain oil flow . Try to turn the screw and check if there's any oil flow to the chain . If not you will need to replace the oil pump (part # 537 10 55-02 which will cost you about $35.00) Hope this help
