When I plug in my ML-1610 to my Macbook it pops up in the printer dialogue box, but won't let me add it. I searched for the printer driver, but can't seem to find anything compatible with Mac. Seems strange to me and I'm wondering if I'm just not looking in the right spot. Does anyone know?? Is the Samnsung ML-1610 compatible with the Macbook 10.4.10?
Close... except that under printers, it says that the ML-1610 isn't supported (there are only 12 that are, apparently). Any sneaky way around this?? Close... except that under printers, it says that the ML-1610 isn't supported (there are only 12 that are, apparently). Any sneaky way around this??

Get the ESP Postscript and the Samsung GDI driver from linuxprinting.org and install the two. Go add a USB printer in the OSX print center, hold the option key to get to the “Advanced Options” and add a “Samsung” printer, chose the ML-1210 driver and you’re done.

Search for the following package. It is called "SpliX" . It is a set of CUPS printer drivers for SPL (Samgung Printer Language) . Here is the download link http://guigo.us/mac/splix/
Hello there, hope you can understand English. You need to follow these instructions to get it to work: http://briantannerresearch.blogspot.com/2007/05/samsung-ml-1610-printer-on-mac-os-x.html
You need to state the Windows version you are using. If you are using Mac, you need to share it also. Because drivers will not work if its not compatible with the system.
There would be two things to ensure Vista compatibility of the Samsung ML-1610. 1. Download and install Vista update/patch for USB core components here and/or here; 2. Download and install Vista compatible Samsung ML-1610 drivers here.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
