Re: Pink screen

Good Day,

Before you attempt any repairs, it is necessary to make a test. The results of this test will determine which part may need replacing. Please follow the directions.
In short, you will be doing the following:

  1. Perform Memory Initialization. NOTE: You must write down some data values before performing initialize. (See Below for Procedure).
  2. Check this status of the picture. (See Status after Initialization)
  3. The status will determine what part need replacement.

Select a non-used or blank Video input or tuner to get into I2C menu, also make sure the Power LED on the Front of the set is not blinking at all.
  1. Enter the I2C Service Menu, be sure the power is OFF.
  2. On the front control panel, press and hold the INPUT button.
  3. Then press the POWER button for two seconds.
    • You may keep the INPUT button depressed until you see the OSD with the Service Menu displayed.
    • If you don't see the service menu, please repeat Process making sure you wait until the Power blinking LED stops.
IMPORTANT: The following are Service Adjustments. These Data Values are lost when Memory Initialization is preformed. It's important to write the values down before proceeding.
H Position: ________
V Position: ________
GHOST (Arrow right)> LCD ADJUST =SHP: _______
(Press Select) LCD ADJUST GHOST=R: _______
(Press Select) LCD ADJUST GHOST=G: _______
(Press Select) LCD ADJUST GHOST=B: _______
(Press Select, then Exit)
V COM (Arrow right)> V COM-R: Set For Minimum Flicker
(Press Select) V COM-G: Set For Minimum Flicker
(Press Select) V COM-B: Set For Minimum Flicker
(Press Select, then Exit)
NRSH (Arrow right)> VS-DAT 1 through 9: _______, _______, _______, _______, _______, _______, _______, _______, _______ (Press exit twice).

I hope this was helpful, big IRISH.

No blue colors projected on screen

Only a few causes for this problem. "Splotches" are usually caused by dust in the light engine which can sometimes be blown out using compressed air. Pink picture is caused by either data or burnt lcd card. Procedure for data is: put tv to ch. 3 and turn power off. simultaneously press input and power on set for three seconds to access service menu. Be very careful not to change settings other than what needs changed. These adjustments are changed using directional arrows. Navigate to "memory init" then hold (r) arrow button for 5 seconds. You will know if it worked. Then exit and/or turn set off. Please let me know if this is successful as I have additional info you may need. Good luck, Russmann.

Pink cloud covering most of the screen

If the pink spot appears as mostly a circle in the middle if the screen then a light engine is needed. If it is an even coverage than possibly just a memory initilization needed by a technician.
