You can actually buy the ear phone jacks at any radio shack store. they are simple to replace just pull it apart and solder two wires. should be fairly inexpensive to just do it yourself. if you do not feel comfortable doing it any electronics repair shop in your area will be able to do it for you

Want to copy songs in my mifi xm to computer how? only have the 3.5 plug on my mifi

This is of course against the rules of your XM user agreement, but if you wanted to 'test' this out, just run the 3.5mm plug from your earphone jack to your 3.5mm 'LINE' input on your computer. Load the free program called "Audacity" on your computer, hit 'record' and you can record and edit the song, saving as an MP3 or WAV file. Again, this is against the XM rules, so this is all just theoretical okay? You would then need a program like Nero to take the MP3 or WAV and record to a blank CD. Just a theory though.

The center pin of the external power supply jack is broken off. Is there some place who repairs scanners ?

your second option is to re route the track so by solder 2 wires to the original power input and routing them to the ear phone socket make sure to disconnect the wirering from the ear socket first ,on your power supply unit remove the jack and replace with ear phone jack makes sure to put positive to centre and other to ground earth

I have turned the tv on and in the top right hand corner there is a symbol for earphones and i cant get the normal sound back on

yoiu likely have a sound output selection in you setup menu .. or in some sets they sense the fact that ear phones are plugged in (switch in the ear phone jack) .. and that automatically shuts off the main speakers .. sometimes the ear phone jack gets damaged and the set thinks there is always an earphone plugged in .. if thats the case then the jack would have to be replaced or repaired ... or you could for the time being, run a cable from the ear phone jack to an external amplified speaker (like a computer speaker .. that would get your sound back at least until repairs can be made ..

IPhone 3GS: suddenly music only on the left

hi. i can help you. begin by cleaning out the little hole your ear buds plug into. Carefully clean the jack hole with a needle or a tough pick. It allowed me to remove a lot of cotton like dust. if that doesnt solve it go into your phone menu under audio settings and see if you have adjusted the balance to cause your problem.
also, You can try removing any debris that might be in the headphone jack by plugging and unplugging the headphones a few times.
If the issue is not caused by debris in the headphone jack, request repair/replacement of the Apple Earphones with Mic online here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do

You can also request service by making a reservation with a Genius here: http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/or call AppleCare U.S. iPhone technical support at: 1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466)

My ear phones are broken and I cant find a replacement.

Hi Lyndsey Warr,
Earphone jacks are generally same for all brands on all devices (except a few) that can play music. Visit any store and pick up any good pair of headphones that fits into the jack. Of course, depending on the brand of your MP3 player, this might not be supported by the warranty, so if you're still within the warranty period, go to a service store and demand a replacement.

One one ear bud works on my in ear headphones

YOU HAVE A BROKEN WIRE IN YOUR HEADSET, OR IN THE INTERNAL JACK CONNECTION. TRY A DIFFERENT HEADSET. IF THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURS THE PHONE JACK MUST BE REPAIRED.

Ear phone jack needs to be replaced

If you know anyone with soldering capability the pads on the headphone jack just need to be re-soldered. Mine did the same thing so I re-flowed the solder joint and now it works perfect.

Have 3 jabra bt 135 earpieces and the earhook is broken snappede on all 3 where can i get replacements

Same thing happened to me. For about $5, I went to Home Depot and bought 24 gauge wire (about 5") and a pack of black heat-shrink plastic sleaves (1/8th inch or 3/16) from the electrical department. The 24g wire fits perfectly through the rubber slot after you pull out the broken ear hook. Use a pair of pliars to bend the wire to shape your ear (use the broken jabra ear hook as a template). Once you have the right shape and have filed down the sharp edges, slip the heat-shrink plastic sleave over the wire, making sure you leave the end piece that goes into the slot of the headset as bare metal. Use a hair-drier on high-heat to shrink the black plastic. Mine has worked perfectly for over a year and actualy fits better than the original.
