Question about THQ Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha for PlayStation 2
I just purchased Devil Summoner 2, and I'm trying to play it on my Playstation 2. The game either won't load (you'll see the playsation 2 logo and then a black screen) or it takes a very long time. I tried playing my other games and they work just fine. If the game does pop up, the title screen is choppy and freezes constantly for long times. I was able to defeat the prologue with little problem, but when I do get to the load screen (this has occurred one in 20 times) the new screen which details my case froze and didn't play. Is anything wrong with my PS2? Do I have to switch the settings or something? I have a newer, slim version. Is the game just faulty? Anything I could try?
It's possible that you have a faulty disc. Check the disc for scratches or scuffs and use a disc cleaner on it or take it to a GameStop and have them clean it. I have a copy of Devil Summoner 2 for my original PS2 and it works fine. If all your other games work fine, then 9 times out of 10 it's a problem with the game.
