Sorry - I hit the "submit" button a little premature...
    Let me try again:

Ok - the manual can be found here. Look at page 27 onwards - it explains pretty well how to set up encryption on your wireless network.
Try to use WPA or WPA2 (you have to check of your computer can handle that). Try to avoid WEP, because it is not secure enough anymore.
Do the setup while your computer is connected via an Ethernet cable, otherwise you loose the connection when the settings are saved.
Tip: save the key in a notepad file and copy it later when your computer asks for it - that way you don't have to retype it.
Also - use a strong password:Upper and lower case letter mix and numbers - something like (Vg5iem3ohPhohs89oJUp4k) - you get the idea: something that is not easy to guess.

If you get stuck or have any more questions, just come back and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

Plug the router into your computer with a cat5 cable (internet cable)
Open up your web browser(Internet explorer, firefox, chrome) and type this following number exactly with the dots into the address bar (usually where you see or other site names)

User Name: admin Password: admin
You should be able to find the passphrase/security key somewhere in the section titled "security"

I cannot connect to the internet with my wireless router MSI RG60SE. I keep getting an error and to insert a security key. How can i get this security key?

You need to access the router and look for the network key. For you to access your router you need to type to he address bar of your browser and it will ask you for a username and password. The default username is "admin" and the default password is admin. Go to the router settings page and check the Network Key (Security Key). You can also personalize the network key for you to easily remember it.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Not only should you change the default password but you need to secure your wireless router.

To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router’s wireless settings configured and also needs the wireless cards in all the laptops and or computers to be configured with the router’s wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.

To set-up and secure the wireless router from unauthorized access, follow these steps: -
1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable.
2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL IP address.
3. Enter the router setup, login and password
4. Change the admin password
5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA).
7. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.
10. Remove the LAN cable between the router and the computer then the computers should be able to connect to the router wirelessly.

My wired pc keeps discconecting from internet

Check for wire loose connection and then any time setting for your dhcp connection. If they are ok check your network connectivity do as follows.

type cmd
at the prompt type ping <your router ip address> -t
kepp watching the reply

use your computer as normally and check when it gets disconnect by watching above

may be some corrupted program send packets in an un usual rate (it can be virus/trojan) so the router blocks those port and your computer disconnect from the network.

Rather from all the above change the PCI Network adapter replace with a new network card.

Something internally died. if you are willing to start replacing chips inside the thing. let me know the part numbers from the chips.
If you dont want to get into surface mount soldering I would suggest canning the thing or EBAYing it as parts.

Cannot access to router IP

This is presumably because you cannot remember the password. All routers have a reset button which will reset to the factory defaults. Should tell you how to do this in the manual.
