The audio system has a shuffle mode, it only shuffles on each disc individually not between all 6 disks. Is there something I am missing or does it only shuffle on a single disk

I have an Alpine CHA-S634 disc changer. The disc and magazine are jammed and i can't seem to find a way to fix it. The 6th tray is still pushed into the unit along with the disc, thus preventing it from ejecting the magazine. And all I get is CD errors when I try to change discs from the head unit in my dash. If i try to eject the mag it just grunts a little, appears to be attempting to retract the disc and eject the mag, but no results. This is the second time this has happened. I originally had an older non-mp3 Alpine changer that had the same problem that i decided to just replace since i couldn't fix that one either. Seems to be an ongoing problem with alpine changers... The jam occurred when i was changing between discs while driving (in both cases) If you have any suggestions apart from just completely dismantling the unit i would be most appreciative. Thanks PowerLloyd
