Hi, My Roland Fantom G6 keyboard has an accident and the analog output is dead. I ask you if it is a possibility to find the entire Jack Board for replacement. It is named: FANTOM-G6 JACK BOARD ASSY...

Does the headphone jack work? Replacing a whole board would be expensive and the problem could be elsewhere. What was the accident? If large signals were driven back into the audio out lines, probably the output driver chip is fried... They likely use a common 8 pin dual op amp as the driver and the part costs 50 cents. It takes a little care to replace it as it is likely surface mounted. I am looking at the audio/jack board for a G-600 and there are a pair of transistors for some testing they do that could also be fried and might be the whole problem if the G-6 uses same or similar circuitry. The Fantom X6 uses very similar circuitry... Download service manual here:

http://elektrotanya.com/roland_fantom-x6.pdf/download.html

Scroll down to "get manual" and click to download. IGNORE other download links. On page 57 of 66 you will find the audio drivers at the right. They use little dual op amps M5218APF which probably are available someplace, however probably 4568's would work fine and are readily available. If you drove high voltage into the audio outs, I suspect first that the RF bypass caps such as C203 on the above schematic shorted. Simple to replace... pennies apiece... The test path transistors such as Q37 may also be shorted... Next would be IC18... While this circuit may not be the exact one for the G6 it probably is CLOSE as the several Rolands all seem to use similar circuitry. Regarding system SAFETY... Make sure ALL and I do mean ALL equipment interconnected including mixers, powered speakers, keyboards, etc. are powered from the SAME receptacle or power conditioning module to avoid accidents. Also for keyboards sent to mixers, USE DI boxes please! These protect against ground loops and these accidents.

Right light comes on- but then shuts off trying to get to turn on

First, check your fuse, it really could be that simple. Check it with the Ohms setting on your DMM, do not bother with continuity. If it is under 1 the fuse is fine.

It actually sounds like a short in the amp circuit. Inspect the amplifier where it connects to the heat sink. Check for signs of oxidation or any contaminant that may cause a short in the amplifier. Ensure there is ample thermal grease between the amplifier and the heat sink. You may wish to reflow the 22 pin connection on the board. I would recommend desoldering the whole component if you can, cleaning and testing it, and resoldering to the board with fresh lead free solder and no clean flux.

If the amp is blown you can replace it for around $70 USD.

Green light comes on then off 3 times.

I had this problem with mine. And it is caused because it is a safety shutdown-
The Safety shutdown may be broken into five distinct sections:
• Audio Power Supply and Audio Output Monitoring
• Main Run Power Supply Loss (PS LOSS)
• Rear Projection Instrument Safety (CRT Scan Loss protection)
• Startup Delay
• Power Supply Overvoltage

When taking measurement I used Pin2 of IP250, It is located in G-0 on the Voltage regulator board.

First off, check the main safety transistor, TP210 located at G-2 on the power supply/scan Bord. It will have 3 semi large heat sinks and the main tube power cables coming off of it.

The Emitter should always be 5Vs, The emitter is also the Furthers pin form the heat sink it is right by, So if looking at it face on to the flat side of the transistor the emitter is on the right.
The base when in:
normal high
protect low
off low

The collector goes to the power switch and should be
normal low
protect high

I pulled mine out to check to see if it was bad because it was reading odd like a shored EC, and it checked out fine. After re-soldering it back in, my set worked fine! Over my TV's life it seemed to have produced a weak point in its solder joint I guess. That in your case seems like it is about to go out for good.
I would say just re-solder that and you should be good to go!!

It this does not work for you let me know, I have much more information.

Regards
Joe

LG Trax Phone - headset adaptor

I recently bought a similar adapter for my trax and had the same problem. Taking the plastic cover off of the adapter, I found the following on the back of the 18 pin connecter: a jumper from pin1 to pin 11, a jumper from pin 9 to pin 10. audio l and r wires to pins 14 and 15, common audio wire to pin 18 and unconnected pin at pin17. By accident, I found that if the unconnected pin 17 bent over to touch the wire to pin 14, the headphones started working. So, solder a wire to connect pin 14 to 17 reinsert these pins into the correct slots and you have a working adapter.

Sound only coming out through one speaker

Try looking at your volume control connector. I found that 2 of the prongs were smashed down, so I got a tweezer and straightened them back up. As soon as I plugged it back in, the blue light on the volume control appeared (before it wasn't working at all), and the right side speaker worked again, whereas before only the left side had sound coming out of it.
