Drum will not turn

I have an Estate electric dryer, Model TEDS680EQ2 and the drum will not turn. The dryer turns on, heats up. Took the cover off and I can turn the drum by hand and the belt is not broken.

YOUR BELT ON YOUR DRYER IS BROKEN. THAT IS WHY YOUR DRUM WON'T SPIN. YOU CAN BUY A NEW BELT FOR YOUR DRYER AT ANY PLACE THAT SELLS APPLIANCES.

Dryer runs and drum turns, but will not create any heat at all.

Sounds like a bad heating element. Go to www.appliancepartspros.com put in your brand and model number. this will pull up a list of all your dryer parts and the schematics of where all parts are. You can also buy parts from them. Great prices, quick service.

Whirlpool estate teds680eq2 dryer will not heat up and don't have an ohm meter to test with.

Hi, One way to check the lement is to remove it from the housing and see if it has a break in the coil. UNPLUG the dryer. Remove the rear panel and the element is located on the right side. There are two screws holding the element in.
If the element has no breaks in it, you will need to test the fuse and thermostats. The only way to test them with no meter is to tape the wires together and plug the dryer in and see if it heats when you turn it on. PLEASE be careful.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Four wires on the new cord.
Red and Black go to outside screws on the terminal.
White goes to the middle terminal.
Green goes to the cabinet ground screw near the terminal plate cover.
