Question about Dell Dimension 8300 PC Desktop
My Dell will not come back on. When I push the plus button on the screen it says locked in power safe mode. Press any key or move mouse. It will not come back on. Thanks Jessica Vandenberg email@example.com I called Dell, but failed to understand the tech support as he had a heavy accent and I am not able to understand him.
Sounds to me that Windows is setting your computers
video controller to output a video signal whose timing is not
compatible with your display. You may be able to boot Windows in safe
mode and then be able to pick a compatible video timing ( refresh rate) in the display settings Windows control
panel. Did your monitor come with any kind of setup disk?
If your monitor is a flat panel try the resolution refresh rate at 60MHz. Lower than a CRT.
Hope this does it for you, please leave rating...
