No internet connection

bridges sometimes use mac cloning to clone the device that is attached to it. go into bridges config page and disable this feature and also make sure to select dhcp since bridges will also use a static ip as well. i just hope this helps alittle. i dont have your exact model of bridge here so if you can comment on it i can get back to you and try to help further

Static Ip with Speedstream 4200 Modem

I am assuming here with the way you have it set up your getting an internet connection.
what you saying i understsand mostly so i'll see if i can help you
first of all you have speedstreem modem that connects to you isp, this is assign your internet address from the isp if you paid for a static IP it would be in here, if not it's assiged by a dhcp from your isp company so if you if turn it off or have a power loss for anymore than 5-15min your ip changes.
now your modem then connects into your belkin router this as well as your modem it's prob set up as dhcp so it wants to issue each computer with an internal address of 192.168.0.X the reason for this is so it knows where to send the incomming information to what computer.
no matter what computer your using the address that goes over the internet will be the one assigned to modem from internet provider so if this need to be static IP to run your game server you will have contact your internet provider for an address.
but you may be confussing the issue a little, my suggestion to you would be:
1. go to your connections on each computer
2. right click on the lan connection choose properties
3. go to internet protocol (TCP/IP) then click properties
4. then click on obtain ip automatically and obtain dns automatically
this will remove the static windows address you may have put in.
try this and see if you can get you game or game server will work.
btw you may have to reboot your computers after this to get be sure to get the new address.

I got ur question, try following steps and i hope it may solve your problem soon and also reply back to me if it solves the problem:

1. Hard Reset the Modem(on back side of modem or underneath you will find the small hole that says reset you need to press and hold that button as soon power light on the modem flashes release the reset button)

2. Go to control panel then go to network connection> on leftside click on create a new connection>click on next>select the first option Connect to Internet>next>select second option set up my connection manually>next>select second option connect to broadband connection that requires user name and password>next> typpe your internet user id and password and confirm the password>next>click on Finish..

3. You will get a new window with your connection name just click on connect at the bottom of that window, you will get connected OR you ill get some error if you wre not be able to connect, note the error if you get that there.

4. open internet explorer then browse the internet if you are connected....

5. If You face any problem reply back to me here with your ip address, dns server, default gateway so we can try to put manuall address on your modem.

6.Other thing that you can try is cick on start>> go to Run box>> Type>netsh dump>> click on ok>> wait for 2 minutes th reboot your computer and try to connect through connection that you would create in network connection.........

reply back to me pls........

Port forward

What you have done is fine. "Integer" means that you have to input a number between 1 and 65535 as the public and private port.

D-Link have specified that it must be an integer because some other firewall products from other manufacturers also accept service names such as "ping", "pop3", "ntp", etc.

I hate my server and their little black box toooooo!

If all of the lights go out or the DSL light stars blinking with no other light on then that usually indicates the modem lost sync. That is usually caused by noise on the DSL line. If the DSL line and phone line are on the same cables then you should have filters that need to be installed on every device connected to the phone lines except for the DSL modem. If that has already been done then you would need to contact you service provider as the issue is most likely going to be a problem with the phone lines in your house or their lines outside your house. Your ISP will be able to test your DSL line to get an idea of where the problem is. It is also possible that this is an issue with your modem and it needs to be replaced. Ig you are leasing the modem then once again you will need to speak with your ISP about it. If you bought the modem then you would need to contact Seimens about it if the modem is the problem.

There is no utility that comes natively with XP to monitor traffic on an ICS connected LAN. I assume you are not directly connected to the ICS computer, and are running through a Switch or Hub? And you do not have access to this to see how many lines are connected?

If this is the case, you can download and install a packet sniffer and place it within the LAN in front of the ICS computer. It will 'see' all packets traveling across the wire, and report the MAC addresses and IP Addresses to which they are bound. Since every NIC has a unique MAC address (and IP Address), you can see how many computers (NICs) there are in the LAN, and connected to the wire.

You can also use a utility like LanGuard Analyzer to search for all computers on the LAN:

The last time I checked the trial version is fully operational for 30 days.. I use it in my Corporate LAN to monitor all 1000 computers in my domain.

One other thing to keep in mind, since ICS uses the Class C subnet (this cannot be changed), it has a limit of 254 clients that can be attached.. just an FYI..

Good luck!
