It cannot pass the first step

The message appears "move the yellow material as shown above" it was done but with no result.

this is a brand new machine, first thing out of the box

    this will block the the sequence. there is nothing that you can do.there are no other steps, is stuck.

    there are no steps further, the machine will need a fix, to go forward. i haven't installed the ink because of that

The yellow material is just to key the switch during shipping. It has no other function than that. Move on with step 2...3....4....and so on you'll see that message will go away. And the part about not connecting the printer to the computer until instructed, well that is important too. Also don't forget to remove the tape carefully from the bottom of the ink cartridges. Just take your time and you will do well.

    Turn off the Artisan 700 Series, then make sure the transportation lock has been removed and placed in the storage area as shown below. Wait a moment, then turn the Artisan 700 Series back on to clear the error.

Steps to Unlock Star 3G: Step 1. Connect Your Star 3G handset in PC Studio Mode
Step 2. Open Samsung PC Studio & Disconnect your Phone from software by right clicking the icon of phone. (Not from your USB)
Above step is must don’t open TK file explorer before that.
Step 3. Open TK File explorer
Go To >> Settings
Select COM Port whatever available as shown in figure & Keep rest things as it is. Click OK.
Step 4. Go To FILE >>Connect
Then the bottom dialogue box will open.
Go To> EXE > Java > Games

Step 5 : Create new folder in Games of the name of your Java Game or App. E.g, Opera
Then Open it (It must be blank) >> Then copy paste your JAR & JAD file there. (You can also navigate from upside dialog box & then download it. Its complicated, so better Copy & Paste)
And that’s it repeat same steps if you want to add more. Then GO to File >> Disconnect
Now you can remove Your Samsung star 3G from USB
Step 6 :
On your keypad type code : *#6984125*#
Then from the list Select > Internals
Then Enter following password or unlock code there *#9072641*# touch Confirm.
Then Select > Storage Mode
Now first click Update Java DB
Then scroll down & click Update Apps Database
Guess What You are done ….
Go back to your phone & application >> Games & More & you ll see your new apps or game appearing & working cool with your star 3G Device.

Message 'Clean Sensor' has appeared. Followed advise to open Cover D and close it again but to no avail. Has anyone got any other suggestions, please?

Follow the steps below to clear the "Clean Sensor" error message.
  1. Open the front cover of the printer (cover D). c2600_cover_d.jpg
  2. Slowly close the cover again. c2600_close_cover_d.jpg This action will move the lever shown below and clean the sensor.
  3. Open and close the cover several times. Once the front cover is left closed the printer will start to calibrate.
Once complete, the error should no longer appear and the printer should resume normal operation.

Note: If the error message is still apparent after following the steps above, contact Epson for further advice.

Error message "remove and check cartridge on right" Did that and shook up the cartridge still feels like it has ink but when I replace it the message does not go away. If it is truly out of ink why doesn't...

Step 1 - Remove and reseat the cartridge
NOTE: The "problem" cartridge is the cartridge indicated by the error message.
  1. Turn on the unit, then open the print carriage access door. The print carriage moves to the center of the unit.
  2. Press down lightly on the top of the ink cartridge latch and pull the lower section of the latch out to release the cartridge. Figure 1: Removing the cartridgec00143341.gif
  3. Pull the problem cartridge out of the print carriage.
  4. Inspect the cartridge. If the cartridge is new, make sure to remove the protective tape covering the nozzles.
  5. Reinsert the cartridge into the carriage at a slight angle, as shown in the illustration below. When the cartridge is fully inserted into the carriage, rock it upright. Figure 2: Reseating the cartridgec00143342.gif
  6. Hold the hinged flap of the latch out while lowering the latch.
  7. When the latch is fully lowered, release the hinged flap. It should catch under the tabs on the carriage, as shown in the illustration below. Figure 3: Closing the cartridge latchc00143343.gif
  8. Close the cartridge access door.
  9. The LCD display may indicate that the cartridges need to be aligned. Press Enter on the front panel. You may discard the alignment page that prints.
Step 2 - Clean the contacts
NOTE: Try to clean the contacts quickly enough that the cartridges are not outside of the unit for more than 30 minutes. The ink can dry and clog the nozzles if the cartridges are outside of the unit for too long.
  1. Gather the following items to clean the cartridges and print carriage:
    • Clean distilled water. Use bottled or filtered water if distilled water is not available.
    • Clean cotton swabs or any soft, lint-free material that will not stick to the cartridges (coffee filters work well).
  2. Remove the problem cartridge.
  3. Place the cartridge on a piece of paper with the nozzle plate facing up.
  4. Unplug the unit power cord.
  5. Lightly moisten the lint-free cleaning material with clean water.
  6. Clean the cartridge contacts. Avoid touching the nozzles. Replace the cleaning material if it gets dirty. Figure 4: Cleaning contacts (avoid nozzles)c00143349.gif
  7. Clean the carriage contacts. Use new cleaning material if the material used on the cartridge contacts is no longer clean.
  8. Let the parts dry for five minutes before reinserting the cartridges. Figure 5: Cleaning carriage contacts c00143350.gif
Step 3 - Remove cartridges and shut down the printer If the steps above have not helped and the error message is "Remove and check the right cartridge ," the following steps may help:
  1. Remove both cartridges, lower the latches, and close the printer access door.
  2. Turn off the unit by pressing the On button on the front panel. Wait for the printer to completely shut down.
  3. Turn the printer back on by pressing the On button.
  4. When the message display reads Insert right cartridge , open the access door and replace the cartridges.
Step 4 - Download a firmware updateIf the error is still displayed, follow the steps below to see if downloading a firmware update from HP might help:
  1. With the power on, open the printer and remove the cartridges.
  2. Relatch the empty carriages and close the printer.
  3. Open the printer and reinsert and relatch the cartridges.
  4. Close the printer and look at the LCD display.
    • If the LCD now shows no error, the original error was caused by a problem that is fixed by HP's firmware update. Though the error has cleared, it may come back in the future, or other problems such as slow printing may occur. To fix these problems, download the latest firmware update from HP. Click here to see how. Make sure to download the firmware update, rather than a driver or other software.
    • If the error message is still displayed on the LCD, the firmware update probably will not fix the problem. The update does fix other problems however, and it should be installed when it is convenient.
Step 5 - Replace the cartridge or service the printerIf the steps above have not helped, replace the cartridges or service the printer. Replacing the cartridges can help determine whether a problem is caused by the cartridges or the unit. However, cartridge replacement will not solve problems that are caused by the unit.
  • If you have not previously tried replacing the cartridges to solve the problem, or if replacing the cartridges solved a similar problem in the past, replace the cartridges now.
  • If you have already tried cartridge replacement without fixing the problem, the unit may need to be serviced. Contact HP to see how to proceed. Click the link at the top of this page for contact information.

I have a TSSTcorp cd dvdw ts-l633a combi drive fitted as standard to my brand new laptop but nothing appears on 'my computer' and device manager shows yellow ex mark against CDROM. Any ideas?

Follow these steps to resolve your cd dvd issue. It’s mostly caused by an error in the registry.
Before you proceed, create a backup of your registry.
Manual steps to back up the registry in Windows XP
1. Click Start, click Run, type %SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe, and then click OK.
2. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Create a restore point, and then click Next.
3. On the Create a Restore Point page, type a name for the restore point and then click Create
4. After the restore point has been created, click Close.
Note If System Restore is turned off, you receive a message that asks whether you want to turn on System Restore now. Click Yes. Then, in the System Properties dialog box, click to clear the Turn off System Restore check box, click OK, and then repeat this step.

The next step is as follows:
First and foremost, go to My Computer; right click on properties, hardware, and then Device Manager.
Right click on the CD DVD drive and uninstall it, then click OK, then close.

Next Step:
1) Close all open programs

2) Click on Start, Run, and type REGEDIT and press Enter

3) Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

* CurrentControlSet
* Control
* Class
* {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

4) This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

* UpperFilters
* LowerFilters
* UpperFilters.bak
* LowerFilters.bak

5) If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

6) After deleting the keys, close the Registry Editor

7) Reboot
your computer

The upper 2/3 of the word is either red or yellow

let the cartridge be new but the colours are got mixed with each other so this problem as the canon cartridge has the sponge in the cartridges that sponge material has soaked the colours from each other and this has solve this problem two things needs to be done 1)the head needs cleaning as the colour will be filled in it now.
2)the cartridges needs to be replaced.
