Kenmorer dishwasher wont start.Lights do not come on.

Of course, theck the power supply the dishwasher is plugged into. The next place to check is the junction box on the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the toe kick panel. If everything is okay there, then it is probably the thermal fuse located inside the door, attached to the dishwasher controller. If you need a new thermal fuse, you can check SearsPartsDirect.com, RepairClinic.com, EasyApplianceParts.com, or AppliancePros.com.

PE1800 server didn't start up at all, no green light in Power supply

Check and see that the power suply cables are properly connected to the power supply and that there is voltage on the Mains. If this is okay, replace the power supply unit.

My Whirpool dryer stopped working after I just finished a load and tried to start the next one. The power source is working and the vent is not clogged. Where do I locate the belt?

If it's not working at all, the first thing to check is power. You should have a dipole 30 amp breaker and you have to make sure that both legs are hot going to the machine. Remember that it's possible for the breaker to appear to be okay but one leg has tripped. Inside the unit you need to be able to check for continuity on the thermal fuse(s) and across the heating element. The door switch could have failed as well, which would not allow it to tumble or heat.

My Hobart 250 airforce doesn't start

On the main circuit board for the power supply, there is usually a thermal fuse installed, its a sealed unit and is not servicible, look for a black epoxied case, approx 3/8x3/4 long, with 2 leads coming out of it. Inside is a set of bi-metal contact points which serves as an over voltage/over current protection. These contacts deform/corode over time and it sounds like there not contacting properly. As soon as you try to load the machine, the current passing through this high resistance heats these contacts up, and shuts off power to the unit. I am not familiar with the guts of a hypertherm, but have extensive experiance repairing inverter based plasma cutting equipment, and i have encountered this before. I assume hypertherm must have some equivelent to this thermal switch inside the power supply.....Good luck..

I REPALCED THE TIMER CONTROL AND MY DRYER WILL

Always check to make sure you have power at the unit. If power is present and you replaced the timer control there is something else causing your unit not to fire up. I will assume your unit is an electric dryer. Before you check anything inside the dryer make sure your power cord is unplugged. Then check the door switch for continuity. If the door switch test okay then check the thermal fuse located on the blower assembly. Remove one lead and test for continuity, if okay then check the upper limit on the heating box. Again, this is a continuity check and again remove one of the leads before you check for continuity.

I have an 1984 rudd 75,000btu forced hot air unit with pilot light, while cleaning unit an electrical connector broke off ! it looks like a blue plastic wing-nut, and It has 2 large black wires that go to...

The simple diagram for that specific problem it connected series to thermal cut off sensor.
The two black wires, One came from a power supply line (it means an active power
and the other one goes to the load motor) If you shorted it connection it will run the motor.
But it bypass the sensor.

Unplug the power then try to fix the both end of that black wire connected to terminal bolt of your thermal sensor by replacing the broken plastic nut with a new one.
Fit the nut thight to avoid electrical arch while giving power on at the start.

Asus A8N SLI DELUXE MOTHERBOARD AMD PROCESSOR

When you reinstalled the processor, did you put thermal compound on it? Not putting thermal compound on an AMD processor could burn it. I've tried this before, thinking it was okay since i tried an Intel not placing any thermal compound, and there was burning smell on the AMD processor. If the problem before was the power supply, you might also want to check the motherboard. Defective power supplies destroy the motherboard as well. You may also want to check the if the power button was placed back to its pins. You may have missed that or the wire might have come loose.

"No Power"

I've never known anyone that has "just changed a fuse" in a HP and have it spring back to life, I do know if a fuser or thermal fuse go you would still have display, I would check the switch, display connections then maybe pull the power supply out and check for damage, but in reality if got down to power supply one would write it off.

The fuser not coming on isn't a problem, missing supply voltages from power supply seem more likely.Check if fan powers on at start up.
