Error message on display

When switching on the camera it takes a couple of seconds. I then get a error message E:61:20 flashing on the screen. This does not affect any pictures or usage of the camera, but why?

Try downloading the photos to a computer. If this doesn't work there may be a problem with the flash chip. If so, try reformatting it - that worked for me when I had a couple of photo storage locations that constantly put up garbage displays and produced file error messages on downloading.

Error message at display screen

Set both the exposure dial and the focusmode to "M" and press the shutter button. Then turn the camera off for 10 - 15 seconds. If this doesn't solve the problem, it's an electronic or mechanical error.

My flash doesn't work? how do i turn it on?

Have you tried resetting your camera? Powerdown and take batteries out. Then hold "power" button for 30 seconds, release and repeat couple of times.

I have a canon rebel xti, I partially blocked the pop-up flash while taking a picture. There is an error message on the screen - flash error 05, turn camera off and on again to clear. It is not working....

You can reset all your settings and clear errors by removing the battery pack and also under the camera is an access screw to get to a button battery or two. The type of screw you use a dime or quarter to open. With the battery pack out, remove the button batteries and leave all those out for several minutes and then with the batteries still out, activate the On switch for your camera and leave it in the full on position for 30 seconds. That should drain off all residual power from the circuit board inside. You will have to reset everything, such as your personal settings in Tools and the time and date setting. All of those user set items, but your error message should clear too. If you get the error message again, right away, after reinstalling the batteries and battery pack, then you have damaged the Flash Unit... but I doubt that. Canon makes a good camera and I don't think what you describe would cause that problem.

Sony DSC-W50 Flash Error code-E:91:01

Press Menu button
togle across from REC Mode to setup
togle down thrice from camera to setup 1
togle across into sub menu
togle down from four times to Initialize
togle across again to the sub-menu
togle up from cancel to OK
press center button to accept the OK choice
Screen changes and so press okay again
It should restart the camera
Opening on the 'Clock Set' screen
togle down to cancel and use the camera and make sure that you have the camera to flash, if it works try again in the Auto function.
If it is still not working do not worry follow the steps again two or three more times, As this is generally a software error message and not a hardware malfunction.
If it is working then don't forget to set your Clock.

Flash Error

The error 5 can mean that there is something blocking the flash from popping up. If it is up but still get the message then you need to check to see if the little black pin/stick that lets the camera know that the flash is up, is not stuck. With the flash up and pointed at you ( like you are going to take a picture of yourself) the pin is located on the right side close to the where the flash attaches to the camera. Yo should see a little pin sticking up. make sure that area is free of dust and /or debris. if it is not up then that is the problem. try to free it with out braking it or get it professionally repaired.
