Question about Seagate Momentus 5400.3 Hard Drive
I have cloned my full 20 gb laptop hard drive onto a new Seagate momentus 3 5400 60gb but instead of ending up with 40gb spare on my new drive it tells me that I have 40gb unallocated and my drive is full....how do I format the 60gb drive to get all of the 60gb storage......regards Mark
What software did you use for the cloning?
Ghost is the preferred method.
Be sure to choose a disk to disk clone, not a partition clone.
It sounds like you may have created a 20G partition and left 40G unallocated.
Partition Magic may also take care of the problem, if you have access to a copy.
