I've been using this pair for a long time. But today, when I put the headphones on, the sound in the center wasn't there: the typical sign of phase-inversion. Furthermore, panning the audio to the left or right gets full volume on both speakers at the same time. There is no doubt: both sides are cancelling each other. I've tested using different playback devices: same problem. Changing cables: same problem. So... What can it be? The jack? The cable that goes from one speaker to the other? And more important: how can I fix this? Thanks in advance!!!!!
There is different between mono or stereo jack.. not all device support both type jack.. I suggest you check your device too.. all the best.. :)

Go in by the part that fits to your ear. You will need to remove the ear pad. Also the foam, you might have to force the foam off, you can glue it back when done. With them gone you should see access screws.

I'v got same problem, my AKG's became out of phase. The problem was in WHITE wire into the left ear which got disconnected. The solution is to solder it back. I found this manual from akg site.http://www.akg.com/media/media/download/...
