SOURCE: Blue ghost image in middle of the tv

I am going through the same thing( only my cloud is red)generally a crappy picture and all hued in red and pink After waiting on the Sears Service tech for a week and a half, showed up this morning and said: " Yep, another Light Engine " He did something in the service menu: "memory reset" to make the TV somewhat watchable while the LE is on order. He was going to order the same(defective) light engine until I gave him the Upgraded Part number from Hitachi: UX22202DR for the 50V500. My tech seems very knowledgable and agreed right away to order the correct part and schedule me for service( He said he has done numerous light engine replacements on this model and it takes him about 2 hours to do this in my home. I am really glad I have a extended warranty as this repair would have cost well over $800. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Problem w/blue "bleed" on LCD TV screen

Sony has acknowledged this problem as being a defect in the optical block and has extended the warranty replacement on this part till december 2008. I have the kdf50we655 and had the same problem. It was repaired for free, but would have cost me about $1500.

SOURCE: Picture is not centered on monitor leaving a 2 1/2" black border on Philips LCD

I have a Philips 30 inch LCD and solved the problem by using the circular arrow button on the TV remote. Pointing it at the TV and clicking "right" (3 o'clock on the button), the picture moved right. Same thing on for "left". Worked for me.

SOURCE: Samsung Model: HP-R4262 42" Plasma Problem, pink pixelation/ghosting

Wow, I've been an installer and salesman in the consumer electronics industry since before the first plasma TV came out (Phillips 42" and Fujitsu 42" in 1996) and this is the first time I've ever seen that kind of an answer. "Take this to a repairman and he can add more plasma" what is the repairman a doctor. If it were that easy no one would ever have to upgrade or replace their screens. You can't add more plasma to a screen, if you don't believe me call Samsung and ask them for yourself like I did. I was actually so dumbfounded by your answer that I called a tech friend of mine at Samsung and asked him, his answer; "does this guy work for you?" I told him no and he said, "I was going to tell you to fire him because that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard anyone tell a customer".
What you need to do is take you plasma TV to an AUTHORIZED Samsung dealer/repair shop and inquire about the hazing/ghosting problem with them. Follow this link to find an authorized repair center near you:

SOURCE: Magnavox 19mf337b 5 months various problems power off, ghosting, alarm noise

I am currently working on this model set and have discovered the same type of problems. Fix: 4 capacitors in the power supply section on the main board were defective (bulging out). Common problem with counterfeit parts that originate in China. See for details.

WD 73835 has ghosting images during dark or red scenes

Make sure your contrast isn't set too high. Most ghosting is caused by either contrast, brightness or tint issues. Try adjusting these settings. Also check if there is a Dynamic contrast setting for your TV as well as this can cause ghosting also.

Sony bravia 52 kdl xbr ghosting

Michael, does the ghosting go away of you tap the set? Or if you turn off the set and let it cool off and turn it back on, is the ghosting still here? One of the most common causes of ghosting or double image problem is due to a defective LCD panel tab. Sony's are known for this problem. I would recommend getting a diagnoses done on the set to be sure. If it turns out to be a LCD tab problem, the only true fix is to replace the panel.

How do i get rid of ghosting effect?

Your time line setting should be the same as highest video clip frame rate. Ghosting is caused by using higher frame rate than time line, eg. 60frmps in a 29.97frmsps time line.
