No pictureq The screen is black. It doesnt even show channel numbers or volume display. It does have sound just no picture. Please help fix this. I didnt understand the previous solutions.

On the remote that came with your TV, press the Display button, which is directly below the Volume Up button. Pressing it once displays the channel number and time, pressing it twice displays the channel number continuously, you must have accidently pressed the Display button twice. Just press it once more to remove the display.

any display in the corners of channel number av etc ?? if you turn the volume up and down does that show on the display if not likely to be a dead panel

Having the channel displayed is a good sign. It would be worth the estimate fee to find out what the problem is. Sounds like the Video module.

it is problem your TV high voltage unite(EHT)
change it by authorised service centre

when you unplugged it,it reset the clock.you need to set the clock.
on the remote play with the input,menu and display buttons until settings come up.one the date and time is set,probably ok.the best thing is to see if your friend has the manual.there are literally hundreds of different toshiba t.v. alone

if there's a channel and volume display but no picture,the problem of your tv is ABL..it is a resistor value from 10K ohms up

the problem is in the backlight try to measure the supply.and replace the inverter.

Hi it sound like you a problem called east west correction. But you will need to take it to a repair shop to fix it. My self i charge about £30 to fix this kind of fault. But dont know what others charg All the best Bob

If the channel and volume visual display was not set up on the menu to display on screen , neither will show up even if either the remote or set front button are used. Make sure that the tv button is selected on the remote to access the menu .If that does not work ,then either the batteries are dead or the remote is dead.If it is you will need a new remote,sadly. Then you can press the m button , select sound and then select "display volume" and check "during adjustment". The channel display settings are found on "features" from the main menu. Hope this helps.
