Question about Toshiba Satellite 1805-S204 Notebook
The inverter is what supplies light to your backlights in order for you to see the picture properly on the screen. it is located under the lcd screen on most laptops and on the right hand side of the lcd for a few laptops. To access it, make sure you unplug your powersupply and take out the battery. then you will need to remove the rubber pads around your lcd cover to expose the screws. Unscrew all of the screws and then carefully take the cover apart. You may need to wedge a small driver inbetween to pop it loose. Once you have removed the cover look for a long skinny pcb with wires from your motherboard going in one end and wires leading to your lcd coming out the other end. There is usually just one screw holding it into place. once you remove it, simply put in the new one and put everything back together.
