I haven't used my TI-89 in many months. I went to use it, and the batteries were dead. Ok, I changed the batteries (4AAA). Two days later, I went to turn it on again, and the batteries were dead again! I replaced them again, and then went to turn off the TI-89, and then I noticed I couldn't turn it off... with 2nd and then on, or with yellow diamond and then on, it turns off briefly, and then comes back on.

    HELP!!!!

The screen on my TI-89 Titanium turned blue after replacing batteries? How do I fix this? It turns on and off but does not respond to any other buttons.

If you cannot see anything on the screen, you may need to adjust the graphing TI 89 Titanium calculator contrast :

1.To darken the screen, press and release 2nd key, and then press and hold up-arrow key until the display is sufficiently dark.

2. To lighten the screen, press and release 2nd key, and then press and hold down-arrow key until the display is sufficiently light.

Ti-89 titanium diagnostics

There is no DiagnosticsOn command in the TI 89 Titanium. The command exists on the TI83/84PLUS where it displays the r and r^2 coefficients. On the TI89 , the correlation coefficient and the determination coefficient (r, r^2) are displayed by default among the statistics if THE REGRESSION MODEL includes them. If they are not defined by the regression model they will not be displayed. In short, you do not have to turn diagnostics ON.

I accidentally resetted my ti-89 titanium

Hello,
Use the TIConnect software to connect the calculator to the computer. Then in the TIconnect main window you can drag and drop the applications you downloaded from education.ti.com. They will be transferred to the calculator.
I cannot understand why you cannot graph normally since the graphing is not an application, it is part of the OS.
While you are connected to the Internet and to the calculator, you may want to reinstall the OS directly from education.ti.com to your calculator
Hope it helps.
