There is no DiagnosticsOn command in the TI 89 Titanium. The command exists on the TI83/84PLUS where it displays the r and r^2 coefficients. On the TI89 , the correlation coefficient and the determination coefficient (r, r^2) are displayed by default among the statistics if THE REGRESSION MODEL includes them. If they are not defined by the regression model they will not be displayed. In short, you do not have to turn diagnostics ON.
Hello, Use the TIConnect software to connect the calculator to the computer. Then in the TIconnect main window you can drag and drop the applications you downloaded from education.ti.com. They will be transferred to the calculator. I cannot understand why you cannot graph normally since the graphing is not an application, it is part of the OS. While you are connected to the Internet and to the calculator, you may want to reinstall the OS directly from education.ti.com to your calculator Hope it helps.
1) Update the OS from the TI site. 2) check if button is sticking(not necessarily just the plastic button, but what it hits on the inside... you can clean the contacts on the inside of the calc with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol.)
I don't have much experience with this specific calculator but those are my best bets.
