Question about Vintage 1983 Darth Vader Speakerphone Telephone
I have the same phone but it does not require any power adapter, just the phone line. Mine does have a plug for headphones. If you plug in the phone line and push the on/off button it should work. If it does not work there might be something wrong with the phone.

I have one of these phones, too! I can confirm that it does not need anything but the phone cord to operate. I don't use it much (I would never get rid of it, though)... but I just tried to turn it on, and nothing happened. I turned it off, then on and off a few times... then it worked. I suspect the contacts for the power switch are not the best quality, and "working" the switch made it function again.
I bought mine used almost 30 years ago (for $3.50, at a garage sale - a worthy investment, whether it worked or not), and it was just the phone - no cables, box or instructions. I never learned what the round jack in the back was for. I'd like to confirm "what" it actually is, before plugging anything into it!
