How to Turn on Genius The iTunes Genius feature suggests and recommends new music, movies, and television shows based on your device's music library and playlists. The Genius feature can automatically create new playlists for the user to enjoy and will do so based on the different genres and styles of media already present in the library. Using Genius, you can discover new music that's interesting to you.
Instructions 1Open iTunes on your computer. 2Click the "Store" menu link then click "Turn on Genius." 3Click the "Genius" entry in the iTunes sidebar to the left then click "Turn on Genius." 4Select a song in your iTunes music library and click the Genius icon located at the bottom of iTunes. The icon is represented by an atom.
f you are using iTunes for the first time, you will see Genius listed on the left side of the iTunes window above Playlists. Click Genius and then click Turn On Genius to start using Genius. You can also start Genius by choosing Turn On Genius from the Store menu in iTunes, or by selecting a song from your library and pressing the Genius button at the bottom of the iTunes window. When starting Genius, you'll be asked to sign in with your Apple ID or create a new one and agree to the terms and conditions.* iTunes will then proceed to gather information about the contents of your library, send this information to Apple, and download Genius results. The time to complete this process will vary depending on the size of library information and the amount of traffic on the iTunes Store. At any time during this process you can use iTunes to play music or other content. To turn off Genius, simply choose Store > Turn Off Genius in iTunes.
he Motorola razr v3i supports two kinds of music file formats: MP3 formats with bitrates of 192 Kbps and AAC formats with bitrates of 128 Kbps. Songs with lower bitrates are converted into appropriate bit rate songs before playing on the phone.
The iTunes application should be open on the computer
The phone should be connected to the computer using the USB cable such that the phone icon pops up in the iTunes application in the computer
Select PREFERENCES from the EDIT menu in the application
IN the PREFERENCE window, choose the PHONE option
Before transferring the songs, choose the option which allows for conversion of all higher bitrate songs into bitrates of 192 Kbps
Finally click OK to convert all songs into compatible formats ready for transfer
Now the songs are ready to be transferred from the desktop to the mobile phone
The songs can be transferred on to an external storage device like a memory card
First the card should be installed on the phone
Now the card should be set as the default USB connection on the phone. This can be done by going into the DEFAULT CONNECTION menu of USB settings in the CONNECTIONS menu
The phone should be connected to the computer using the USB cable and the iTunes application should be open on the computer
The application will show the phone icon on the left side of the screen
Now drag and drop an entire playlist or specific songs from the playlist onto the phone. The average transfer time for a song is 45 seconds
After all song transfers are done, the phone can be ejected by selecting the EJECT icon in the application
The phone should be ejected only after the DO NOT DISCONNECT message disappears from the screen of the phone
Now the songs appear in the iTunes digital jukebox on the phone where songs are stored under SONGS menu and playlists under the PLAYLIST menu
Please note that the Bluetooth connection cannot be used to transfer music between the phone and the computer
Maybe you have a faulty cord.
Try using the cord with your old phone, ect.
Also, is this a brand new phone? If it is, maybe take it back to the shop and ask them, if it's not then maybe it was faulty when you bought it.
Either way you should probably take it and the cord back to the shop.
And you can always just bluetooth songs from your other phone onto this phone.
Get back to me mate.
