Question about Kenmore 84052 Dryer

1 Answer

Stopped working Dryer will be working, but then will stop (usually before completing the cycle). When I try to start it again, it will not start. I have run it through the Function Test Sequence and do not have any problems. I have run it in to the mode for reading fault codes and no fault codes come up.

Re: Stopped working

It might be overheating.  Make sure your dryer vent is clear.

replace your t-fuse again but also chekc to see if the vent going outside is restricted. if hte vent is smashed or clogged the heat has nowhere to go. i would say that is your issue. clean your vent before you change he t-fuse.

Crosley Electric dryer stopped in mid cycle and will not start

if the machine is completly dead an not doing anything locate your fuse panel ,check your fuses for the dryer ,if you can find wich one is it reset the breakers again you probably popped one of the 2 lines since you need 2 for a 220v.

good luck!

It stopped warning, and wouldn't start again.

Unplug your dryer for ten min. This will reset the circuit board and reboot the system. Sometime small power surges can disrupt the curcuit and cause the unit to get confused. Rebooting usually will fix this type of problem with surges.

Dryer stopped working mid-cycle.

I presume she pushed the start button again. Can you hear the motor running? If so, it's a broken belt. The door switch can fail anytime. If the dryer started ok later, the motor was overheated. Lighter loads will avoid a lot of problems, and the dryer will probably work better.
