THE CAMERA SAYS THE 2 GB SD CARD BY PNY NEEDS FORMATTING. WILL NOT FORMAT (CARD IS NEW). tRIED ANOTHER NEW SD CARD SAME RESULTS. HOW DO I GET THE CARDS FORMATTED TO USE?
Format it on a PC, and try again.

I am having the same problem. I phoned a camera store and they said the camera is too to accept a 4GB card may only accept to a 2 Hope this helps

Remove the card...turn on the camera and go into the menu...find "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. Then try to format the card again.

Hi there , after formate if you face the same problem then, its look like the memory card life is end. He complete his total image serial number. For example:
Life time card capacity is DSC 00000 to DSC49999.
If he reach on end then he does not have any serioul no for further photos. In that case you need to replace the card. Thanks.
