Question about HP PSC 2110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

When you turn on the printer it makes a noise like it is trying to calibrate itself and something is stuck. It will not respond to any function on the printer. I have tried disconnecting the electricity to reset the printer but nothing works.

Look for any obstructions, things often will fall into the printer, or sometimes the plastic gears, or a tab, etc... is broken, sometimes at a greater expense to repair, DEPENDING on what part is broken, but it sounds like a mechanical failure from the descrption

Grinding noise in copy mode?

The Grinding Noise has something to do with the scanner not the Printing Part, I think the scanner could have something stuck on the moving tray....!!!!!!

How do I get my brotherMFC-7220 printer off sleep mode

Turning it on and off should get it out of sleep mode, or just sending a print job to the printer should also wake it up. If that doesn't work you can try unplugging the printer from the power source for 40 seconds, then replug it in. If it is STILL stuck in sleep mode then something has failed on the printer itself.

Why Samsung CLP-300 Printer making annoying/loud clicking noises?

So try to get the black toner cartridge out of the Machine. On zhe backside of the Cardridge is a gear. Try to turn the gear, maybe the Toner inside is clump together. When you can turn it very easy in both directions it's fine.

My 7319 makes a brief intermittent click-hum every minute or so, that sounds like a phone line is being opened up (without hearing a dial tone). I have tried unsuccessfully to make the sound go away....

Lol, it's not the sound we're trying to muffle, as stated I knew the solution might sound dumb but we're not trying to muffle the sound. One of two things is likely happening.

1. There's a light source causing the calibration sensor to think something is moving in front of it and messing with it's normal function causing the head to move back and forth to recalibrate every minute or so.

2. Mechanical failure of one of the motors or caridge sensors is causing it not to know where the head is positioned and it is constantly trying to get back to it's "parked" position but never getting the signal from the sensor saying it is there.

With this in mind, throw a dark coloured blanket over it and see if the noise stops, if it does you either need to close the blinds, move the affending lamp or reposition the printer so the light isn't hitting it at the front where the little blue light blink occasionally.

If this doesn't work, it's likely a sensor failure and you may be able to determine which one by opening your printer toolbox and checking the various diagnostic routines.

ur tri color cartridge may have run out. change it and try again. if it doesn't work try calibrating ur scanner.

If and when you regain the function of the menu button, you should perform a calibration. It should be done every time you install or replace a printhead. However, you can run a calibration if you are seeing changes in the image quality. Calibration aligns the printheads and performs a nozzle health check to enable high-quality prints.
1 Load the main tray or photo tray with photo paper.  You don't have any photo paper, but it is recommended for calibrations. 2 Press Menu. 3 Scroll down until Calibrate Printer is selected. 4 Press OK. A new screen appears with Print Calibration Page selected. 5 Press Start and follow the instructions on the LCD screen to complete the calibration.

HP Officejet 6110 scanner carridge appears stuck

Unplug the power. Plug back in, while simultaneously holding hash (#) and (6) buttons, until S-reset is displayed (sometimes this can take like forever) but it is a documented HP mode.... Then set up machine using 1 key to confirm options and arrow keys to select options.

To enter another maintenance mode (fat lot of good that will do you), press and hold * and #, then press 1 and then 2 and then 3 (or 5) for a variety of different options, which include testing of the scan bed. This of course only works once the scan bed has initialised...

Or: take out all cartridges and close doors. Wait until it complains, or indicates a cartridge jam.
