Eureka powerline umc-18 vacuum quit working

While running the machine started slowing down, then regained speed and worked as normal, slowed down and then stopped. Still has lights on the unit so it has power. Have tried a different outlet both for power and for the vacuum. No change.

The Motor has locked up due to over heating. Once that happens the only way to go is either replace the motor drive or get a new cleaner. Do not try and keep energizing the Vacuum as you could blow circuit-breakers or start an electrical fire.

SOURCE: The power paw on my vacuum machine is not working.Eureka ez kleen

The filter is not the reason it's not working. Take out screws and open Power Paw, remove fur from the roller brush on the right side, there is a small gap where fur winds around tightly, cut off with scissors or pull out with a small toothpick.

SOURCE: Eureka 5841 upright vacuum cleaner quits running,

The motor is running hot and causing a emergency shutdown. It is either clogged somewere or the motor is bad check for cloggs first then if none are present you will have to replace the motor. Depending on the original price of the machine if the motor is bad you may be better off buying a new machine.

SOURCE: Eureka altima stopped power mid vaccuming, have changed outlits

make sure all your filters are clean, try to turn the brush roller by hand a few times if it turns real freely then the belt is broke.if it is reall hard to turn then you have something wrapped around the ends of the roller where the bearings are.your motor guard might be keeping it from running because it got too hot take the brush roller out and the belt let it cool down for 20 minutes then try it without the roller and belt.you should be able to take the ends of the roller off by just pulling out on them so you can remove what ever is in there

Need manual for Eureka Powerline Plus Model 9730 Type A - missing "door" that covers tool access port on body of upright motor...any ideas? This causes dirt to fly out unless tool hose is placed in...

Maybe you have already solved the problem this late in the game. Manuals for Eureka products can be found on http://www.eureka.com. Your local hardware store will have a bunch of different sizes of plastic caps in the plumbing section normally used for capping pvc tubing. If the outlet is round like an upright I had a few years ago you can pop one of these on and it'll do the trick. The cap shouldn't be more than a dollar or two, plus if you ever do want to use the tools again you didn't do any permanent damage to the port. Hope this helps!

Hello, I have a problem with my Eureka Powerline bagged upright vacuum. It has a 12 amp motor and is model #4352, Type D. It was probably bought new in 1998. My problem is, while vacuuming today the motor...

it sounds like a rubber sealing in the motor has come loose and is being constantly rubbed against the walls of the motor with would cause the smell and loss of motor speed caused by the fricton of rubber against the rod so if you can get to the motor try to open it and see if you can get it if not take it to a small engine repair service hope this was helpful:)

Eureka 4331 (Boss Lite) vacuum doesn't pick up dirt anymore

I no more use Eureka 4331 (Boss Lite). But the most common reason for not picking up dirt might be the vacuum bag might be full. Need to be Clean or replace as recommended by the manufacturer or The air filter traps particles as the air travels through the vacuum cleaner. If the filter is clogged, the vacuum cleaner will not have proper suction. If your vacuum filter is clogged, refer to your owner's manual for cleaning instructions. I recommend having Eureka Power Speed for yourself. 7_21_2021_9_09_38_am.jpg

Power surge issue

This is a fault in the motor, could be a shorted turn in the motor windings. This has nothing to do with fuses.
