Question about Frigidaire GLER341A Electric Dryer

1 Answer

The drum on my frigidaire dryer will turn when I have a small amount of clothes in the dryer, but the more clothes I put in the dryer the slower it goes until it slows to a complete stop. When I say a small amount of clothes I mean like ten or twelve items ata time. Can someone please tell me what might be wrong? I just replace a bad heating element yesterday.

You probably need to check your dryers drum glides Reach inside and try to turn the drum. It should be VERY easy to turn. If it seems stiff it probbaly needs new glides.

My Frigidaire Affinity dryer keeps wrecking my clothes by breaking straps

In any front load machine, whether washer or dryer, the manufacturer will suggest to have the items with buttons or straps, or small items, put into a mesh bag. Now you can have a professional check to see if you have too much of a gap between the drum and the door itself.

When I put the clothes in my dryer and turn it on it starts then stops and flashes the minutes and an F. What does that mean?

Not sure of model but usually means too full of clothes, try a small amount first if that doesnt help it may still be out of balance, If the drum can be seen to jump about, maybe a drum mounting issue.

Affinity dryer less than 2 yrs. old will not turn. It hums, but the drum will not turn.

Please check if there's something stuck outside the rotating drum. Sometimes small cloth escapes out of the drum during drying and gets stuck in the rotating shaft. Just try to reach the back side fo the rotating drum inside and make sure that there's no cloth that's stucked inside. Please make sure that you unplug the cord first.
If in case that you did not find anything, you may have a busted capacitor or worse, the motor is defective. It could be that the motor windings are shorted or a bad bushing.
Hope this helps.
